Jason

I was out with Jas driving around looking for her a nice place after we came from her doctors appointment , Karin was moving in with Dave soon so Jasmine wanted to take matters into her own hands and not be left stranded even tho Karin said she could have the condo but Jasmine apparently wanted something new and suitable for her and the baby .

" I like this one .. it's cute and enough space for me and Milani " she said looking around the apartment in Manhattan .

" It's nice , I got someone who could come fix it up too " I said and she looked at me confused

" What you mean fix it up ? I got this " she said all stubborn and shit

" Your almost 7 months pregnant .. you think ima let you fix this house up , You can pick how you wanna design it out that's it " I said & I could tell by her face she knew I was deadass

" Fine " she said acting like a little baby , So I came behind her and wrapped my arms around her while the Lady was giving her papers to sign . Me and Jasmine might not become a couple in the future but as long as I got my friend I'm all good , I knew she wanted me but she's scared Ima do what her ex did to her & she don't understand I'm nothing like that nigga . We walked around and looked for decorations for the house , She got her keys today but the people I hired wasn't gonna be done with decorating the apartment yet .

" I be over there alone like every night " she said as we was in the car about to part outside of Macy's

" And she told you she moving in with him ? "

" Yes & how I can keep the condo , But I want my own shit & I don't wanna be stuck in the house alone tonight what if something happens .. " she said

" Come stay with me for the night " I said and she looked over at me with a shocked face

" I'll see about that " she said , always fucking up a good moment . Her phome started ringing and she didn't answer she put it down . I already knew it was that Meen nigga , He called her like 3 times before she answered and I could here him yelling at her through the phone ..

Jasmine

Meen had been calling me from all different types of numbers & they were 914 numbers as if he was in New york or something . I finally answered & there wasn't even anyone talking , As soon as I was about to hang up I heard " You thought you was gonna ignore me & I wouldn't find out you been with that jay critch nigga ? " he said and my heart fell into my stomach . Meen is crazy , He never wanted to see me move on .. He would literally catch a body if he seen me with a new nigga .

" Meen it's not even like that & why do you even care ! " I said with anger boiling up inside of me

" Bitch I will fucking kill you , You think I don't know where you be at ? You lucky if it wasn't for my daughter I would've been killed your stupid insecure ugly ass .. I don't even know why I got you pregnant , Broke ass bitch ! I swear to god yo that nigga better watch his back and you better watch yours .. Don't sit here and act like you safe cause your not " he said then hung up , I don't know what's been up with meen but him taking his anger out on me is stupid like I didn't do anything for him to hate me so much .

Jason was looking at me waiting for me to tell him about the phone call , He knew meen called but he didn't hear what he said . It was already getting late & I just wanted to be alone , " Can you take me to Karin's " I said and he looked at me with his eyebrows tilted . Then nodded and drove off .

We got to Karin's house and I reached over and gave him a hug and kiss on the cheek . " Jason I really think you for being here for me , Be safe ! like seriously I don't want anything happening to you I know how things are about to go down and I want you to be safe " I said and he nodded I already knew he had an attitude about me not staying .

I walked into the building and got on the elevator up to Karin's house , Once I got to her floor I walked down to her apartment and pulled out my keys & opened the door . As soon as I opened the door I felt a sudden hit behind my head and I fell face down on the ground .

I woke up seeing everything blurry and blood all over the floor coming from my stomach and my face , I started crying for help and heard a voice that sounded so familiar.. it wasn't meen . " Shut the fuck up with all that crying , you thought I wasn't gon find yo ass " he said

I got my vision back and started to look around but I couldn't see anyone , I tried to slide my way towards the door but I felt someone grab me by my hair and drag me back .. I turned around and seen feet & slowly looked up seeing my dad standing right infront of me . I haven't seen him in years , being that he used to abuse me and my mother all the time he was the last person I expected to see . I had no control in my body , He flipped me on my back and started kicking me in my ribs and stomach . I couldn't do nothing but cry for help .

It was about 11pm and I knew Karin wasn't gonna be home until the morning . The last time I spoke to my dad was after him and my mom left me stranded , I knew he was here for one thing and that was the money .

" Dad , why are you doing this to me " I said with tears flowing down my face as I was in pain on the floor .

" You thought I was gonna let you move and use my money ? And then have some nerve getting pregnant Your lucky I won't do you like your mother " he said holding a knife in his hand

" What did you do to mom " I said holding my stomach , the pain started to get unbearable and I couldn't feel the baby moving anymore

" She's dead " he said and started laughing , I always knew my dad was physco when he tried to burn our house down with me and mother in it . I couldn't help but cry when he said that , I knew my mother didn't want to leave me & he made her leave . My mom didn't have a mind of her own dealing with my dad & I knew he didn't want my mother to have me but she moved away with my G'ma until I was born and then she got back with him after he told her how much he wanted to be with her .

" Now where's the money ? And don't lie to me I know you have it " he said pointing the knife to my stomach .

" It's in the bank , the card is in my wallet " I cried out and he walked over to my purse . I felt my phone vibrate in my bra when I put it but I couldn't move my body to get it , He walked back over to me and looked me into my eyes . He looked like he didn't have a care in the world or care about what he just did . He bent down and kissed me on my forehead then got back up and stomped right on my stomach then walked out the door .

I couldn't do nothing but cry , The past few years haven't been so great for me & I don't know if it's something I did but I need god to be here with me and help me through this stage in my life . I closed my eyes and started to pray on my behalf and also for my baby .

My phone was in My bra and I finally got the strength to get it out and call Jason . He answered after the 2nd ring , " Jason I need you right now " I said crying . " What happend jas ? " he said concerned . " Just come please I don't know if ima make it or if the baby's gonna make it " I said and he hung up .

There was a knock at the door but there was no way I was going to be able to get it .

" Jas ???? Open the door '' jason said and I didn't have the strength to even move . Before I knew it he kicked the door down and ran over to me on the floor .

" Who tf did this ? " he said as he pulled out his phone and started to dial 911 . He hydrated me with water and I could finally feel my legs and arms a little , I looked down and seen a puddle of blood surrounding me and that gave me a flashback of me and meen .. but this time it wasn't him .

" Stay up jas , Fr " he said but I didn't have anymore strength in my body before you knew it everything turned black ..
