John POV

My crush on Alex only grew. He was perfect in anyway shape or form. However, I simply kept it a secret. Until now.

He was looking straight at me, and I was looking at him. I just wanted the couch cushions to swallow me up.

"Well? What did you need to ask me?" He asked.

"Umm... will you go out with me...?" I mumbled nervously.

"YES!" He exclaimed.

"So uhh... does Sunday work for you?" I asked.

"YES!"

We stared at each other, red faced. He looked some what excited, so I let out a sigh of relief. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

Alex POV

Holy shit, the day had finally come. I woke up early, and worked all day, hoping time would pass. Of course, I barely got through it.

I heard a knock at my door, and ran up to open it.

"Hey Alex! Make sure to be ready in an hour! I have something nice planned!" He exclaimed.

"Okay, can't wait!"

He left, and I closed the door. I quickly got prepared, and looked for John.

"Alex, you look amazing!" He complimented, surprising me.

"You too!" I responded.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah, you?"

"Yep, follow me." He said, leading me out.

We walked outside, the frosty breeze hitting our faces. He continued to lead me towards a cookie shop. It was a small, peaceful, building. It casted a light shadow on the concrete sidewalks. We walked inside, and stood in line to order.

"I'll get a caramel sugar cookie, what do you want?" He asked.

"Well... I've never actually had a cookie before..." I trailed off.

"Okay, I'll just get you one of the most famous cookies, chocolate chip!" He exclaimed, some people staring at him.

I just went along with it, and ordered the chocolate chip cookie. We the walked out, each taking a bite out of our cookie. (Btw they were like those really big cookies) It actually tasted amazing. I had never had chocolate before, so it was like I had finally tasted life.

"HOLY CRAP THIS IS SO GOOD!" I yelled.

He laughed for at least five minutes, before finally letting out a deep sigh. We continued passing jokes, until we reached our destination. We threw away our trash from the cookie and walked forward.

"So what are we doing now?" I asked, confused.

"You'll see!" He winked in the most cartoonish way. I smiled.

Before I knew it, I was talking to John, on a boat. I had never been on a boat before, so it was pretty exciting. he travels to NYC on an airplane in dis story

"Isn't it beautiful outside?" I asked.

"You're more beautiful than anything I've ever seen." He said.

My face turned pink at the compliment.

"So, I've already told you about my annoying classmates. Do you have any?" I asked, trying not to be akward.

"Not really, but there's this one guy, and he hates turtles. He thinks all they do is wobble around super slow. Did you know turtles have been around for 215 years? I don't think they'd still be around if all they did was wobble. Just sayin." He ranted.

"Ah, He seems pretty close minded." I replied.

"Well you're right. One time he..."

He continued ranting about some guy named George Eacker until the sky was dark. The moon and stars were milky white. The light reflected onto the water below us.

"We should probably get going." John said.

"Okay." I responded.

Once we had gotten back to the dorm, we remained in his room. I rambled on about other random things while he sketched on some paper.

"Since you moved here about two months ago, what's your favorite thing about this place?" John asked, randomly.

"You." I answered shortly.

"Oh c'mon, there's gotta be something you like more."

"Nope, you're my favorite no matter where we are." I replied sweetly.
