CHAPTER EIGHT

Jamiee's POV****

It was the weekend, mark and I were at home, he was telling me about his work and I was listening, he was a top class lawyer and the most successful one I knew, when I first met him I thought he was really sweet,we went out a few times and our relationship to me was more of a good friendship then us being lovers,I've had lovers before, but mark was more than that we were really good friends with each other
Until I introduced him to mom,my mother has always been pushy and controlling, she wanted grand kids and marriage, next thing I know is I am walking down the aisle,I was never truly happy,I just did what I was told to do and worked with whatever, sounds dumb but I've always been soft even though I put on a tough exterior at work, mark spoilt me he made sure I had everything I wanted,but he treated me like a little sister,we hardly even had sex,not that I minded of course. I normally enjoyed days like this when we would just sit and chill and talk. A part of me knew Mark had someone but I didn't care,we kept up appearances for the sake of our businesses that we opened together, it was a law firm and a really good one too,we also had a night club and a mall together, everyone saw us as inspirations and the power couple,I knew I was sacrificing my happiness but it was just one of those things that had to be done. Even though I normally enjoy chilling and talking today I felt like something was missing, I felt lonely,I felt like I needed to lay in someone arms and feel like I was truly adored, I wanted to be looked at with desire and need.

My thoughts shifted to Alexis, I've had females attraction before in college made out with females but that changed when I married and I ignored any attraction I felt, did I want to ignore Alexis, my mind drifted to her face,her body, How muscular she was,How firm she felt and how easy she was to talk to, I knew she would have never been interested in me,she maybe thought I was this straight married older person, plus I basically saw her about to kiss another girl,no doubt they were fucking maybe even now, mark cleared his throat breaking my thoughts "hey are you okay?" He asked concern lacing his voice,
"I'm fine just really tired" I replied stepping up to him and rubbing his soulder
"Well you need to get rest honey, do you want me to run a hot bathe?"
I smiled "that sounds like a good idea but its kool babe you have a lot to do, imma just go to the store get some stuff OK" he nodded and I went to get the car keys, not planning on changing I decided to go in my grey sweat pants and jersey, deciding to take my white Audi A4 I pulled out and headed to the supermarket grabbing my phone I dialed Cara,she never answered. Sighing i realized its been a while me and her actually spoke, what was going on with her. The store was half hour away and when I got there I still didn't know what I wanted, grabbing a cart I pushed through each section not really looking at anything and ignoring the admiring stares from the men that I passed even the ones that were there with their wife's,not looking where I'm going I accidentally bumped someone with my cart, "what the fuck!!"the person yelled spinning to face me,I looked up to see none other than Alexis.

We stared at each other for a moment and I saw her eyes scanning my body, I felt so tiny under her gaze, she ran her hand through her hair a action I was getting really familiar with,
"Jaimee hey" she said breaking the ice, she smiled and I felt a smile forming on face as well
"Hi,what are you doing here? This place is not near your house" I asked running my eyes over her she had on a football shorts with a black marina that clung to her showing how firm her stomach was,her tattoo was more visible and I saw it was a lions head with her name beneath it,her arms showing how strong she was,I couldn't stop looking at her
"Ummm earth to jaimee are you done eye fucking me?" She teased and that brought my attention up to her face,again her hair was down, her blue eyes stared right into mines,I glanced to her lips and back up at her and I couldn't keep her gaze for long, gosh what was she doing to me, realizing I still haven't said anything I cleared my throat
"What are you doing here Alex?" I asked again
"Obviously shopping " she narrowed her eyes at me," this place the only place that have everything I need plus I felt like driving a little" she continued
"Ohhh okay that's good, how are you?" I replied,looking every where but at her
"Well I'm just peachy jaimee,how are you?" I could tell in her tone that she was getting upset but why? I wondered
"I'm okay Alex,it was nice seeing you I gotta go" I don't know why but I just felt like I really needed to go, making an attempt to past her and leave she grabbed my hand to prevent me from leaving and the minute her hands made contact with mine I instantly felt weak and stumbled,but she caught me and pulled me up to her, I couldn't look at her but when she spoke I heard the concern in her voice "jaimee what the hell is wrong with you?" She asked setting me straight and looking at me, I don't know!!! I don't know whats wrong with me!!! I wanted to yell, instead I mustered a smile "I'm fine, just tired I guess" she lifted my chin towards her and our eyes met again, the intensity of her gaze made me feel like I wanted to melt right then and there, she just stared at me and then she pulled me into a hug and I swear it was the best feeling ever, I felt my arms snaking around her waist automatically, she pulled me in closer and I felt her arms tighten. I signed involuntarily I couldn't help it she smelled and felt so good,what was she doing to me, she pulled back slightly, I immediately missed her closeness, "jaimee would you like to come over, if you need a friend I'm here anytime"she said rubbing my shoulders it felt so good, I nodded indicating that I wanted to, she said "OK well get what your getting and let's go."

I grabbed a few things and we left the store together and just like the first time I got in my car and followed Alexis home.
