Imagine 2: Soulmate

"We are the Lovesick giii~rrrrllsss~"

"I can't stop me, can't stop me! No woahhh! woahhh!"

"Bulleo! bulleo! Uril jigeum bulleo!"

"Gut-ge goreo jamgulge Boca! ttunun ttunun tunun! ttunun ttunun tunun!"

These are some of the random songs that I've heard inside of my ears for the past 4 months. It's kinda weird at first but when I asked my friend about this, it became more weirder.

Why? 

Well, you see...

"Hey! Can I ask you something?", I said to my friend, S.Coups.

"Yeah sure, say it!"

"What if you suddenly heard a voice of a girl singing in your ears?" when I said that, his eyes widened.

"Yoww~ I think it's your soulmate~", he cooed at me while grinning.

"Soulmate? But why do I need to hear my soulmate's voice? Is that even possible?"

"Jeonghan, listen to me. When I was a teenager, my grandma told me that if I will hear a voice of a girl inside my ears, then that girl is my soulmate. And I believe that it's true, because I have a friend of mine before, he always hears a voice of a girl singing inside his ears for like 2 years straight. He even told me that it was so annoying, but after few months, that girl became her girlfriend and now they are married!", after S.Coups said that, I'm thinking so hard. 

What if it will also happen to me?

What if it is really true?

"Then do you know how to find my soulmate?", I suddenly asked. 

"They say, if your heart beats so fast, like really fast, then your soulmate is near to you, that's what I've remembered"

O...kay

"Jeonghan! Let's play some video games!", DK said as he sat beside me.

"Mmm, sorry, but I want to go to the coffee shop, I'm craving some caffeine today", I said then I stood up. I heard him said something to me, but I didn't payed attention to it anymore.

When I arrived at the coffee shop, I ordered right away so I could sit on my favorite spot before someone else will sit there.

After I got my order, I was about to walk away from the counter, when I saw a girl sitting on my favorite spot, enjoying her coffee.

"Damn it...", I whispered to myself then my heart just suddenly beats fast. Like, it's really fast.

"What is w-wrong with me?", I murmured as I touched my chest. Then I remembered what S.Coups has said to me.

"They say if your heart beats so fast, like really fast, then your soulmate is near to you, that's what I've remembered"

Then there's a girl who just entered the coffee shop and passed through me. My heart is really beating so fast like it's going out from my chest.

What if that girl is my soulmate?

And so without thinking twice, I approached her. After that encounter, we often go out together and eventually, we start dating.

Everything was really perfect, but something was kinda strange to me. Her voice, it's... quite different from what I heard in my ears. When she sings, her voice is quite deeper and soft. It's indeed a bit far but, I just shrugged it off.

Our relationship went off well and I thought she is already the one, but, I was wrong.

After one week, we broke up, because she cheated on me and during that time, reality slaps me. It slaps me real hard and makes me realize that this soulmate thing, is not really that true. Maybe this is only a fairytale, or it won't really works on everyone. Maybe it will only work to those who are born as lucky people.

Unlike me, I guess I'm just purely unlucky. Especially when it comes to love.

After our break up, I went to the park to get some fresh air. I also need to relax and move on. I need to forget. I need to start anew.

While I'm sitting on the bench, I looked up to the sky, then my heart suddenly beats faster, again.

"What is wrong with you?! I don't have a soulmate! It's not even true!", I shouted as I squeezed my chest. I don't want to cry but my tears betrayed me, they just voluntarily flowed down my cheeks. Then, a thought suddenly pops inside my head.

What if...

What if I am sick?

What if this is not because of that soulmate thing?

What if I have an illness?

"No way... It can't be", I said to myself while still grabbing my chest, and later on, a girl suddenly sat next to me.

She is... singing.

"Two! Minus one! I can see you're doing really good without me baby~ Two! Minus one-", she suddenly stops from singing and just sobbed.

Wait, her voice and face are familiar...

"What the... My soulmate is crying right now? For real?! huhuhu. What happen to you, huh? If I just know where you are right now, I won't hesitate to go to you and shut you up, so you will stop crying. You're literally wasting my precious tears! You know?! Huhuhu~", she complained as she sobbed, and I realized something.

What if this girl is my soulmate?

And because I am too curious to know, I shyly approached her, "Umm... hi?", I said then she looked at me with her tear eyes.

"Yeah?"

"Can I know your name?", I said and smiled awkwardly.

"Y/N, and you are?"

"Jeonghan..... I think I am your soulmate", when I said the word 'Soulmate' her brows met.

"Soulmate??"

"Yep, I was crying a second ago", I said as I pointed my tears that are now slowly drying out.

"Really? Naahh~ I don't believe you, I have trust issues, you know!"

"Okay then, for the past 4 months, you were singing some random songs. I think those are from different kpop groups, like, lovesick giii~rrrllsss~", I stated as I sang and copied her voice that time.

"OMG! How? Well... If you say so... then I think you are really my soulmate. Actually, no one knows that I'm a kpop fan", she said as she smiled a little and giggled cutely.

"Well, now I know", I chuckled.

"Umm... can I ask you something?", she suddenly said.

"Yeah sure"

"Last week it was Friday at 10:10 in the morning, I went to the coffee shop. My heart that time just suddenly beats faster, they actually say that if your heart beats so fast, then your soulmate is near to you. Did you also went to the coffee shop, near the Seven-T mall that day?", she said and now I know why her face is also familiar, cause I already saw her one time.

"Yeah, I do. I even saw you there"

She was the girl who seated on my favorite spot.

It was her.

She is my true soulmate, and not that dumb girl who cheated on me.
