Imagine 60: Nothing Changes

A continuation of 'New Best Friend' (Imagine 59)

Y/N's (Your Name) Point of View

"Joshua Hong...", I called out to him as quite as possible. We are both currently in the library. As usual, I'm studying while him, tagging along like an idiot. He doesn't even study at all.

"Yes princess?", he replied as he looked at me charmingly.

I groaned with how he calls me, "What's your deal, huh?"

He frowned, "What do you mean?"

"What I mean is, why are you doing all of this?"

"Doing what? Tagging with you here in the library to study even though I really don't? Is that what you mean?"

"No. Giving me freaking mixed signals", I stated, inside my mind.

I'm so confused with my own feelings right now. It's a complete mess and it's all because of these two men: Joshua Hong and Dino Lee.

First, why does the great Joshua Hong suddenly keeps on spending time with me and befriended me? Is it because we are now neighbors? Nonsense. Literally nonsense for me. Plus he said something stupid this morning, literally stupid.

THIS MORNING

Joshua and I are on our way to the school. I didn't eat breakfast because I am running kate so my mom just gave me potato chips.

"Morning Y/N!", Dokyeom, one of Joshua's friends, greeted me.

"Morning!", I brightly replied. Jun and Mingyu are also there, they both smiled to me so I smiled back as well. Ever since Joshua started to hang out with me, he introduced me to his closest friends and now, I am as well close with them.

"You guys are quite early now, huh?", Joshua said to them, he is walking beside me.

"Well, we didn't do our homework. We will just be going to do it in the classroom", Jun stated like not doing homework is the coolest thing ever.

"You are indeed good students", I commented while shaking my head.

"You know what? I did not eat breakfast today", Mingyu suddenly stated.

"Oh! Me too! But my mom gave me potato chips, wanna eat?", I said as I get the chips from my bag and opened it right away, only to found out that it's completely crushed.

"What the- It's crushed...", I said as I pouted.

"So what if it's crushed when I'm already hungry?", Mingyu stated as he dig in.

Joshua leans in to me to see how crushed the chips are before speaking, "Oh it's badly crushed. Don't worry, I have a crush on you", he sneakily stated as he dig in as well.

That caught me off guard.

Did I heard that right? Or is it because I did not eat my breakfast?

"What did you say?", I asked him, wanting to clarify what he just said, not looking at him since I'm busy eating.

"I said... I have a crush on you", he repeated in a low tone.

My cheeks suddenly started to heat up. It surely sounded so cringe but it had a strange effect on me. I don't want to look at Joshua right now, I'm sure I look like a tomato that is about to explode in any second. So instead, I acted like I did not hear what he said and talked to his friends.
