ANNABETH'S POV

I woke up. Again. I felt so weak and alone. Percy was gone, and I had nobody. I walked out of my cabin, not caring where I was going, just walking. I found myself on the beach, which made me even sadder. I flung myself on the sand and wept not caring about anything that was happening. But I definitely noticed when a pair of muscular arms wrapped around me. This mystery person pulled me onto its lap and hugged me tightly.

"Sshh." It's soft voice whispered. I'd know that voice anywhere.

"Percy?" I asked weakly. I turned around and saw that smirk I had come to love. I hugged him back. I cried and laughed and cried into his arms. He rubbed my back and smiled.

"I'm here now." He said in a soft voice that he always used when I was upset.

"H-how did you survive?" I asked, pulling away from the hug so I could see his face clearly.

"Water," He replied plainly. I did an internal facepalm. How could I have been so stupid? Percy picked me up and carried me to the cabin. I felt warm and safe in his embrace, and I didn't want to go anywhere else.
