PERCY'S POV:

I woke up to find Annabeth trashing around, crying, screaming. I grabbed her arm and she screamed even louder. I hugged her tight. Slowly, she blinked open her puffy eyes. When she saw me, she hugged me even tighter.

"Whoa. What happened? Bad dream?" She nodded.

"W-we were fighting a monster o-on a roof, and t-the m-monster..." She was lost for words. I stroked her spine and she stroked my scar. She took a deep breath and said,

"He pushed you off." She managed. I kissed her head and held her hand. I let her cry and get her tears out. Once she had calmed down, I kissed her softly on the lips.

"It was just a dream, don't worry." But deep inside his gut, he knew it was more than just a dream.

ANNABETH'S POV

HOURS LATER:

I held Percy's hand as we walked out of the cabin. Everybody on the quest gathered together. We all decided to split up and scout the land. Percy and I by the beach, Gavroche and Eponine in the fields, and Rachel in the forest. (Loner as usual) Percy and I found a large, deserted beach-house and climbed to the top. I scanned the horizon. The waves crashing on the beach was calming, and the smell filled my nose and seemed to flow through my entire body like the wind.

"ANNABETH!" Percy shouted from behind me. I turned around to see a cyclops. He was pretty small for a cyclops, only 26 feet. (Yes, she measured in her mind!) I ran over to Percy and unsheathed her drakon bone sword. We stabbed and slashed, but nothing seemed to be working. The cyclops hit up both with his hand, sending us flying backwards, also causing our weapons to slide away from us. The cyclops took his spear and was about to impale it into Percy, but I jumped in front of it as the spear was about to land. The cyclops yanked his spear out in surprise, but it faded quickly. His shocked face turned into gritted teeth. He kicked Percy and sent him over the roof. He managed to cling to the side of the roof. I ran to him and grabbed his hands. I tried to pull him up, but all the blood loss was making me feel dizzy. I held on as long as I could, but my hands got sweaty and slippery. Percy's grip slipped from mine. I screamed and he fell. I turned around, but the cyclops was gone. I looked down and saw nothing but fog. Percy...MY PERCY is gone. And it was al my fault. Everything felt numb. I looked down and saw everything I was wearing was dark red. I fainted, my last thought being,

'My fault...'
