It had been a week now since what had happened at the park and this time, I wasn't over it. I still felt embarrassed passing Brittany in the halls on the school and feeling my cheeks turn red and feeling so alone. Luke didn't even call or text me and I was wondering what had happened. I know surely it was embarrassing to be caught with me, but he could have gone with - I don't know, the long lost sister thing. Sure, that would have been awkward and weird, but perhaps a little less worse than zero words at school.

By Friday, I just wanted the weekend to last forever. I wanted it to drag out just like I wanted the school year to. I wanted to hurry up and go to college and get away from this town, I always felt out of place here anyway. It had now turned to December and it was freezing, it was almost Christmas and I was excited. Christmas had always been my favourite holiday.

As I walked out of the school doors, my bag swung on my shoulder as I hurried to get home, but I stopped walking and noticed something strange. In the school car park, the usal student's and teacher's cars were sat waiting, but there was something new. A red BMW sports car was parked right at the park corner and stood in front of the car, leaning back and looking to the sky was Luke.

At first, I thought perhaps he wasn't here for me, but when he smiled at me as I walked towards the car, I was felt my heart flutter in my chest. I knew people were watching me as I walked over to Luke, probably confused as to what I was doing with a guy like him.

"What are you doing, Luke?" I shook my head as I approached him.

"I don't know," Luke chuckled, "But I feel like going on an adventure,"

"An adventure?" I raise an eyebrow as I look at him in disbelief.

"Yeah, why not?" Luke smirks, "Ever been camping?"

No, of course I have never been camping. Did Luke really have to even ask me that? The question was, did I even want to go camping? Luke and I had known each other for around three months now and in that three months I had grown to take a liking to him in a way I had not expected myself to. I wasn't sure if being alone in the woods with him was really something I was ready for.

"Are you implying you want to go camping?" I ask and Luke nods, "Well, Luke Hemmings, how do I know you're not some sort of murderer?"

"How do I know you're not?" Luke responds, making me chuckle.

"Well, what about my parents?" I suddenly remember, almost getting too into the moment and almost actually agreeing to go with Luke.

"Lie, Fran," Luke told me, "Or of course you could tell them that you're spending the weekend with the best person in the world,"

"I'm spending the weekend with Niall Horan?" I fake gasp and Luke rolls his eyes and playfully pats my arm.

"Me, obviously," He huffs, "So, you in?"

I think for a long moment, trying to think of all the good and bad points in my head in the space of three minutes which Luke was waiting for me to answer. Of course a part of me wanted to go, but it almost seemed a lot more complicated than just going with Luke to the forest and forgetting everything for the weekend. Although, perhaps that was exactly what I wanted. Maybe a weekend away, with someone who makes me smile a lot would be exactly what I wanted.

"Promise if I don't like it, you'll bring me home?" I ask.

"Fran, we're only going to the forest five minutes from you're house, trust me, if a bear comes out and tries to eat you're face - you won't have to run a marathon,"

"I'm sorry, I just assumed if a bear came at me to eat my face, you would save me," I sarcastically speak but and Luke lets out a roar of laughter and in that moment I'm confused as to what he would actually do in that situation.
