I love the sound of this word, the way it tastes sour in my mouth while never seeming like a word that means something sour. I also like this word for its diversity. You can use it as a complimentary adjective to describe anything great or beautiful or you can use it in a fictional setting and frame it to mean someone that adapts quickly (per the chemistry definition). The last definition could be framed in a lot of different ways: positive, as relating to the first use I mentioned, or negative, as in putting someone above all others in a harmful or unfair way.
