I was looking at synonyms ed 'educate,' thinking I could do a positive chapter about the importance of education and improving yourself and others. Then I found this word.
This definition brought to mind a dystopian novel dealing with brainwashing. Think of The Giver by Lois Lowry (great book, check it out), or The Program by Suzanne Young (picked it up a while ago, never finished it, might get back to it later). I'm not sure what it is but there's a sinister aura around this word, at least for me.
