I've always thought there should be a word for it but never knew there was. I feel like recently people tie themselves to their opinions and stances on certain topics in the news or on social media, so this is kind of relevant. To be honest, I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. People shouldn't be divided by their differences, after all. On the other hand, this seems like one of the better ways to group people, if you have to. I think it's bad to only associate yourself with people of similar viewpoints to you. On the other hand, I feel extremely uncomfortable being friends with someone who, for example, doesn't support gay marriage. I'm just very conflicted. Any thoughts?
