This isn't an uncommon word, nor is it difficult to understand from context clues. I don't think this word gets enough attention. There's something I love about this particular adjective. The sound flows well, it's simple to use in writing, and still not enough people appreciate it. I think if it like one of those words that describes something you're trying really hard to find a good word for.
