Isang balita ang gumulantang sa aming lahat ngayong araw. Ito ang pagkamatay ng CEO ng Welch Mart Corporation na si Barry Welch.

Siya ang aking foster father. He adopted me when I was 11 years old no'ng makita niya akong pagala-gala sa kalsada at walang mapuntahan. He treated me like a real son. Pinag-aral at hindi trinatong outsider sa pamilya. Ngayon, isa na rin akong Welch.

I have a brother with same age as mine. We're both 26 years old. I am grateful because like his father, he never treat me like an adopted one.

Siya ang nagbalita sa nangyari kay Dad.

I've been staying in America for 14 years now. I was 12 years old when Dad brought me here where all I did was study and study and study!

Last week was my graduation to the fourth course I took up and that was criminal investigation and self-defense. Kasama ko pa no'n si Matt at si Dad.

The first two courses I took were business administration both bachelor and masters degree, and the third was law.

These courses weren't my choice. It's my Dad's. He believes these could be helpful to the company. Maybe because through these, I can assist my brother someday when he takes over the company. It's the least I can do anyway. Eventually, I learned to embrace these professions.

I'm supposed to be enjoying the victory for graduating but the news made me forget all my achievements.

Now, I'm on the airport, on my way back to the Philippines. I want to be there in this crisis and see what I can do to help.

"I think this is the right time for you to come back."

These were the exact words spoken by Matt before hanging up the phone after telling the bad news.

And this is how my journey as an investigator started in the world of business!
