"How the hell did you get up there??"

Eren stared wide-eyed at the raven haired male who sat with his feet against the window frame, his heart skipping a couple of beats at the sudden and, quite unique, presence of the older teen. His bedroom was on the second story of his house, surely he couldn't have- "I climbed, obviously." Levi rolled his eyes at the brunet who stared gapingly at him, answering his silent thoughts. Yeah. 'Obviously'. Only Eren was aware of the sarcasm in his thoughts, choosing not to say them out loud for no particular reason. He sighed, deciding to drop the confusing subject of the other's odd choice of presenting his arrival, and instead shot a concerned and disapproving look at the raven.

"You know you really shouldn't skip class so much, you're in your last year, aren't you afraid of failing?" The brunet twirled a bit in his chair, breaking eye contact with Levi when he asked the question. The older boy sighed, lifting a leg to let it hang off the ledge that led inside Eren's bedroom and crossing his arms. "No, not really. My uncle is the principal, he wouldn't let his nephew fail and ruin his 'perfect reputation'. He'd probably threaten the teachers behind the scenes if they even thought about failing me." Levi scoffed after his sentence, and Eren's eyes widened at the other's reply, definitely not expecting that. "Your uncle is the principal?!" He looked back up at the older teen once again in shock, though for a different reason than the time a few moments ago. "Mhm." Was the simple reply, though Eren could have sworn he heard a very quiet "unfortunately" come from the raven afterwards. He didn't press on about it though, as much as he struggled to do so with the sudden curiosity cluttering his head. That was Levi's own business, after all.

"Where's the painting?" It was almost quite obvious that the older was trying to change the subject from his uncle, but Eren went along with it anyway. "Here, b-but I haven't started painting it yet, it's still just the sketch like I showed you.." He turned himself in the chair, revealing the large paper to Levi's eyes who immediately flicked over to it. He dropped himself off of the window ledge to stand on two feet on Eren's bedroom floor, walking over to the desk with newfound interest. The brunet fiddled with his hands as Levi scanned the picture, he didn't know what he was feeling. Anxiety? He usually knew exactly how that felt but he couldn't be sure if that was it right about now.

"Cool." Levi simply stated, though somehow Eren could tell the short and small word wasn't spoken carelessly and meaningless, it had feeling to it. "Thanks.." He mumbled, and blinked a few times when the raven lifted his head from staring at the drawing and switched his gaze to the brunet beside him. His own silver irises flicked over Eren's two colored ones, and after a few seconds of Levi just staring it started sinking into the younger that he didn't have his eye patch on. He didn't know what to do though, Levi obviously knows about his eyes now (which is still hard to believe, considering that hasn't happened ever since the beginning of high school started) so should he just keep it off around him? He was contemplating rushing over to his bedside table and grasping the white cloth of an eye patch which usually soothed his sweaty palms, but he didn't move. It was silent between them, and Eren couldn't help but start to feel uncomfortable and twitchy. And then,

"Your eyes are really nice."

There he goes again.

Eren could feel the darker hue of red start to creep up his face, and he shut his eyes tightly with a groan. "You've said that already.." His entire mood changed, and flustered was the only way to describe how he felt. A breath of a snort came from Levi who Eren couldn't see but he could tell backed away a bit, and he spoke again. "I don't get you sometimes. First you're lecturing me about skipping class like a mother and now you're red faced and stumbling over your words." Eren could almost feel the smirk through the other's voice, and he groaned once again in complaint. "It's your fault! Don't just say things like that out of the blue. It's not true anyway.." He mumbled the last part under his breath, and Levi immediately furrowed his eyebrows when he heard it.
