Alec’s POV

I gracefully put Crystal on her feet and quickly grabbed her hand and walked into to see the house looking like a tornado has hit the house. Broken furniture, books and paper throw around the room, the windows had be smashed... literally like a tornado hit the house.

“Mum, what happened?” I heard Skylar gasp; I looked over the room and saw blood in the middle of the lounge room and a body in the corner of the room. I quickly turned Crystal around, so her head was resting on my chest so she didn’t have to look at the horrific sight.

“While you were gone getting Crystal, the rest of the rogues attacked here. We managed to…get rid of all of them, but Luna was badly hurt. But don’t worry she is healing now and is perfectly fine, but she is a bit shaken from the incident” Mum said looking damaged and weak, a side of my mother I have not seen. Skylar was quick to pull mum in a hug and mum hugged her back squeezing her tightly. Skylar let go of mum to see tears forming in the corner of her eyes, Heath quickly pulled mum in for a hug and mum hugged him back as a tear strayed down her face. I looked down to Crystal who had stepped out of my arms and was watching and she nodded to me as I kept looking from her to mum, I quickly and instantly let go of Crystal and pulled my crying mother in to a hug.

“Thank you, Alec” Mum whispered softly in my ear and she quickly let go of me and ushered me back to Crystal who had taken a step forward and had put a hand lightly on my mother’s arm, comforting her. My mum smiled at her and pulled her in a hug, Crystal was hesitant at first but she quickly hugged mum back and when she pulled out she smiled at mum warmly and I knew mum was feeling better by all the encouragement she was getting.

“Get some sleep, you will need it tomorrow especially in this family” Mum said jokingly and I chuckled behind her.

“I will, thank you…” Crystal trailed off.

“Cecelia” Mum filled in for her; she smiled shyly at my mum slightly blushing as well.

“Thank you, Cecelia” Crystal said smiling warmly at my mother who was had wiped all her tears away from her eyes. I shifted my weight to my left leg, as I was getting fidgety…I really didn’t want Crystal to see the body over there and I didn’t want to scare her again.

“Alright now go, Alec is getting fidgety,” My mother said laughter filled in her voice, Crystal chuckled slightly and reluctantly walked over to me and I engulfed her in my arms.

“Goodnight, Cecelia” Crystal said before I lead her up towards my room.

“You handled my mother well” I said to Crystal as we had reached my door, I opened it for her and let her walk in. She sat at the end of the bed as I closed the door and went and sat next to her. She looked directly at my door, gentleness in her face as she stared at the door not talking.

Crystal looked at me a smile forming on her lips. “She reminds me of my mother” Crystal said and I couldn’t help but smile back at her but it was quickly erased by her next question.

“Will I ever get to see my mother again? Will I ever be able to see my family?” She asked as tears formed in her eyes and I couldn’t help but feel guilty for bring Crystal into this, ruining her life.
