- Fairy tales are not solely for romantic purposes. Sa totoo lang, fairy tales were written to teach people about the reality of life through unreal circumstances. And what I like about fairy tales is not the happy endings, but the unexpected outcomes that expertly portray real life. Fairy tales have darkness, confusion, and bitterness alongside its sweet, colorful backdrop. It's complexly diverse and bizarre, and that's what I expect from your stories after this round. Show us how outrageous and radical you write.
PAIR #1: _thequieter VS. matthew_14
SONG: I'm A Believer - Smash Mouth
- Write a story that talks about shutting one's self from the magic that is love. You can study and analyze the song to better understand it. Alam kong madali lang 'to para sa inyo, but I want to see the magic in your story. It's up to you kung literal or figurative 'magic' 'yon basta i-convince niyo ako sa love story na gagawin niyo.
PAIR #2: harlequincross VS. 4EverInHeartz
SONG: Alice - Avril Lavigne
- A simple story about fitting in the world and not knowing what is real and not. Pwedeng psychological, pwedeng hindi. Anything works, but make sure na nandoon yung message ng song. Kailangan pag pinakinggan ko yung song habang binabasa ko yung story, they fit perfectly together. And, again... *in President Snow's voice* Convince me.
PAIR #3: isaganireyes VS. forolorn_hope
SONG: Wide Awake - Katy Perry
- Decisions. Write a story about living in a perfect yet unreal world and waking up to discover the horrors of the real one. Diskarte ang kailangan dito saka awesome, unexpected twists. It's up to you kung paano niyo isusulat, pwedeng lituhin niyo kami kung ano ba talagang desisyon ng protagonist, but make sure na kakaiba at moving ang ending. At syempre, kailangan malinaw yung decision, tama man o mali.
PAIR #4: ryuujiryuu VS. SelfieDemiGod
SONG: Brick By Boring Brick - Paramore
- Now this is really interesting. This song's one of my favorites. Write something about getting your head damaged by life and creating a world for yourself where everything is perfect. This is psychological so kailangan ng extra effort. Make sure na andun yung unsettling feeling. Get your crazy on, because you're gonna need it badly. Pwede kayong magwala sa pagsusulat. Let out the monster in you. But make sure na hindi bland ang ending. Conclude the story with a huge "Woah!"
Note: Just because Romance isn't my thing doesn't mean I'm not allowing you to add Romance in your work. If the story needs it, then fine - go and write a love story. Oh, and kahit anong language gamitin niyo, pwede.
