The second Scott got out of school on Friday, Avi took him to the store, smiling at him as he held his hand and hummed as he looked at everything. He incisted that he didn't want to sit in the cart, but walk like his daddy.
Avi stopped after a moment and grabbed something off the shelf. "Daddy?" Scott spoke softly. Avi hummed and looked down at him, "What's up, bud?" He asked kindly. "I don't want to walk anymore." Scott whined as he looked up at Avi. Avi chuckled and leaned over, picking him up.
"Is that better?" Avi asked with a smile, earning a nod from Scott. "Can I sleep with you and papa tonight?" Scott asked softly. Avi sighed, "I don't know, Scotty. You're a big boy now." He shrugged as ge started walking again.
"It's scary in my room! There's a monster in my toy box!" Scott said as he looked Avi dead in the eyes. "A monster?" Avi questioned as if it were impossible. Scott nodded, "He growls at me at bed time and it's scary." He said as Avi put another item in the large section of the cart. "You'll have to get papa to agree." Avi shrugged.
Scott nodded and fell silent. Avi sighed and put the last item in the cart before he went to checkout.
