Nico's POV

I once again found myself going in and out of consciousness. The first time I woke up, I was on top of something. It was moving. I just couldn't physically bring myself to move, so I just laid there. The moving thing was pretty warm and soft. I sighed softly, unable to resist burying my face in the soft.. Something. Fur? Was this fur? I honestly couldn't tell. I just let myself fade back into darkness as the thing took me wherever it was going to.

The second time I woke up, I was cold. Not as cold as I was before, not even close, but still. I was in a bed, maybe about fifty blankets piled on top of me, and I could vaguely make out what sounded like other people in the room with me. It felt like my eyelids were frozen shut and my body was once again thawing out. It was warm, but not as warm as I was before. Why was it warmer then?

The third time I woke up, I was warm again. Just like I was the first time. Far warmer than I've been in so long. It took me longer than I'd like to admit to realize I was being held. I stirred, only to feel the arms wrapped around me tighten. It was thankfully not in a painful way. I still squirmed, struggling to open my eyes.

"Shh," Someone shushed me, fingers running through my hair. A familiar feeling went throw my scalp and down my spine. Warm sparks. I leaned into the touch with a soft sigh. "Don't move. Go back to sleep."

I wanted to. I wanted to just sink into the warmth and never wake up. If sleeping eternally without any negative consequences was a thing, wouldn't be awake today. (Bitch me too-) But it wasn't, sadly. I continued to wiggle around a little until I managed to roll over. I found myself facing the source of the warmth and curled closer to it. I felt something warm and soft press against my forehead. I sighed again, trying to press myself somewhat closer.

"Will," I mumbled, my fingers managing to grip onto what felt like his shirt. As I slowly seemed to regain my senses bit by bit, I could tell one of his arms were wrapped around my waist while his other hand was pressing against the spot between my shoulder blades. I buried my face into what I assumed was Will's shirt.

"Go back to sleep, Nico," His voice whispered. "You have a fever and everything. You scared me so bad.."

I nuzzled my face deeper into Will's shirt, still holding his shirt in a tight grip. I was almost afraid to let go of him. It was as if I did dare to let go, I'd wake up from this dream and be back in that other pack. I really didn't want to think of that being a possibility. So I didn't. I just continued to hide my face in Will's chest, allowing my mind to drift back into the blissful darkness of sleep. For once in a long time....
