Getting out of the tunnel was a bit difficult, but they managed.

Amanda was walking with Sirius and Harry. She hadn't said a word for a while.

Sirius turned to her. "Is what he said true? You tried to kill yourself?"

Amanda said with a straight face, "He's a filthy, lying, traitorous rat. Don't believe a word he says." She felt bad for lying, but she didn't want to worry them.

Sirius turned to Harry and Amanda lost focus again. She didn't listen to a word anyone said, but was trapped in her own silence.

They walked out of the Whomping Willow and started up to the castle. Amanda couldn't help but feel there was something wrong...something she had missed. Then she gasped.

She looked up at the sky just as a cloud parted and the moon appeared. Sirius flung out an arm to get Harry and Hermione away from Remus as he started to turn.

Amanda ran up and tackled him to the ground, ignoring the shouts of her family.

"AMANDA! STAY AWAY!" Sirius screamed.

Underneath Amanda, Remus started to change. His body was lenghting and his face was becoming snout-like.

As Remus turned fully into a werewolf, she was flung off of him. She went flying, falling the the ground. She looked up just in time to see Padfoot fighting Moony to keep him away from the kids.

She ran up to the three kids and yelled, "GO! RUN!" She signalled with her hands.

Amanda saw Pettigrew transform and run away. She growled and took off.

She chased him through the trees. The rat was still holding onto Remus' wand and she growled. Pettigrew's ears perked up. He had heard her.

She cast the spell that forced him to change back to human and smiled eerily.

Pettigrew squeaked and shot a spell at her. She ducked and cast another spell at her. The two of them duelled.

Eventually Amanda shot him with a stunner and the man fell to the ground. She heard a howl. Moony.

She grabbed the wand off of Pettigrew's still figure and gave him a swift kick before leaving. She raced through the forest.

She reached a clearing, just as a shadow revealed Moony.

Amanda gasped as the werewolf stepped towards her. Having an idea, but knowing it could be dangerous, Amanda tried it anyway.

She deliberately and slowly transformed into a werewolf herself - the first time she had changed into an animal other than a Phoenix.

When she had completed her transformation, Moony spoke to her.

"It took you a long time to transform."

"First time, it may have been a little shaky." Amanda growled back.

"Would you like to join my pack? The others are missing, I have not seen them for many moons. You could be my beta."

Amanda nodded with pleasure. It seemed that Moony considered her to be a Marauder, which she had only aspired to be before.

She stayed like that with Moony for the entire evening. When eventually he got tired and fell asleep near morning, she ran off and transformed back into herself.

She climbed a tree and wedged herself between some branches. This would give her some support.

She had been out too long to arrive at the castle suddenly, and it was too early to disturb the peace anyway.

Her best option was to sit there, out of harm's way, and wait for the teachers to find her.

...

Amanda was found the next morning by Minerva. She sent a spell out to the other teachers that were looking for her and helped the girl down.

"What were you doing up there?" Minerva asked her.

Amanda replied, "I thought I would be more out of Remus' way."

Minerva nodded, understanding her point.

The two walked up to the castle. Minerva lead Amanda to the Hospital Wing for Poppy to give her a check up.

While she was there, Harry, Ron and Hermione came up to her and asked where she had been.

Then she realised. "I STUNNED PETTIGREW! How could I have forgotten?" She moaned, "I'll have to see if I can find him again later."

...

She was released moments after they found she was completely fine. Minerva told her that Remus had resigned, so Amanda went straight up to him.

She burst through the door.

"What are you doing?" She demanded. "I understand, but why? You're amazing!"

Remus shook his head. "Don't question it, Amanda."

He suddenly became serious. "Are you a werewolf?" He whispered.

"No, but I can turn into one." She whispered back. He looked confused and she continued, "There is a prophecy involved around me. You cannot tell a soul."

Remus nodded and she gave him a hug. "I'll miss you." She muttered.

"I'll miss you too." He said, "But I'm sure we'll see each other soon."

Amanda grinned. She passed him the piece of paper that Severus had given her. Remus grinned as he understood what her prophecy had meant.

"Goodbye Remus." She said, before leaving.

...

She waved to Harry, Ron and Hermione as she passed them and continued to the forest.

She found where she had stunned Pettigrew but groaned when she found he wasn't there.

She was going to kill him.

...

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Amanda were the only ones that knew Sirius was innocent. Amanda was relieved to finally be able to talk to someone about it.

Amanda had completed the extra two OWL exams that the examiners had suggested, and she felt that she had done well, especially considering she had never taken Divination or Muggle Studies.

Gryffindor had won the cup and Amanda felt that although Remus had left, everything was relatively normal.

...

When Amanda left Harry at the Station, she saw him grinning at mentioning Sirius was his Godfather to Uncle Vernon.

She smiled wickedly.

She sensed this summer was going to be fun.

...

That's the end of Amanda's fifth year. I hope you are enjoying the book for now.

That sort-of cliffhanger was for my friend, @JinxedSapphire. Ha ha J!
