Lexi turned with great reluctance to address the girl standing a few feet away. She hadn't changed a bit. Same jet black hair, same blood red lipstick, same smirk hiding the venom behind her teeth. "Lydia."

The girl's smirk widened, "Oh, so you remember me?"

Polly looked up at Jason, sensing the unsaid tension between the two girls as they stared at one another. He didn't look back at her though, his eyes were too busy glued to Lexi to see how she would handle the situation. The Cooper girl didn't want to be anywhere near them, her eyes couldn't help but to glance nervously at the south side serpent logo on Lydia's leather jacket.

Lexi took a deep but subtle breath before smirking back at the raven haired girl, "How could I ever forget my old best friend? I see nothings changed, sweets?"

Lydia couldn't help but grin at the use of her old nickname, "Oh, how I've missed you, Lexis. But old best friend? I thought we were best friends for life?"

The brunette didn't have a chance to respond as Jason beat her to it. His glare was unmissable as he turned his gaze towards the biker chick, "I'm her best friend now."

Lydia didn't seem to react to the hostility in the redhead's voice instead she walked forward and wrapped her arms around Lexi like an old friend which was exactly what they were to one another. "How come you don't come around anymore? I haven't seen you since before summer break. Pea and Toni think you're dead and Fangs refuses to even talk about you without getting angry thinking you won the lotto without telling anyone."

"It's complicated, Lyds." Lexi sighed, feeling the remorse fill her stomach as she pulled out of the hug and saw the flash of pain appear in Lydia's eyes. "I had to go away for a while."

"No way," Lydia gasped in complete shock, easily putting the pieces together, "You're clean, aren't you?"

Lexi glared at her, nodding reluctantly, "Keep it down, will you?"

"I don't believe this, the Lexi Hale is clean. Oh, wait till the gang hears about this. They're gonna have an absolute fit!" Lydia laughed as she imagined the looks on their faces when she told them.

"Shut up. Not everyone knows what I used to be into, now you've just went and out-ed me to Polly 'her mum's Alice Cooper' Cooper," Lexi scolded as she pointed a thumb back to the wide eyed blonde beside Jason.

"Oh, shit, sorry." Lydia didn't last a serious face two seconds before she ended up laughing again, "I can't wait, though. Hey, you have to text me later and we can hang out. I gotta go find Snake Bites wherever he ran off to, he's my flavour of the week."
