Afraid
We sat in the hospital all night. What fun on a Friday night. Fred ended up having to get tetanus shots and he was afraid. We sat there all night while they tried to give him the needle but he didn't listen. Finally he let them. We were all clear to go home. Next time yo get injured, I said to him, remind me to mail you a get better soon card. He started laughing and we drove back home. On the highway a Ford truck swerved in front of us. Angie' s mom tried to stop but crashed into him. The truck swerved off the road and we were know sideways blocking two lanes. Cars were still flying at us. We all screamed and tried to get out. Fred and Patrick got out. I had my foot out when a car collided with us. The car I was in tumbled over and I was stuck in the back seat. My leg had to be broken I thought to my self. I could see the blood coming from my head. I scratched at the window and yell but it was like a war zone. I could hear the sirens in the distant. Another car hit the one in front of me causing my car to flip again causing my elbow to bang into the door. The window shattered causing a scratch straight up my arm. It went pretty deep. And I wasn't liking it. The sirens were closer and in a matter of moments I had a fireman at the window. Angie' s mom was passed out but looked fine. Just miner injuries. I was taken out on a stretcher. They immediately started wrapping my leg. The last thing I remember was the ambulance's doors slamming shut. I woke up in a hospital bed the next evening. They had done surgery on my leg. It was sore but not too bad. Angie was thrown from the car and sprained her ankle and got a concussion. She landed on a car. She was in the bed next to mine. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days. Angie stayed in the hospital for 2 days. I was upset. My parents came to see me. They were upset, I could tell, but they didn't let it show to easily. They brought me my phone and my tablet. Thank God for WiFi. I was famous. All over instagram. My name. With Angie' s. They had pictures of us in the hospital beds. We were all casted up and broken to pieces. It was cool. I got a doctors note for gym. I was out for 2 months. It was very cool. Except one thing. The pain. The cut on my arm was not good. It needed 20 stitches. the doctor said I'll have a nice pink thick line there for a scar. I'm looking forward to long sleeve shirts. My mom stayed the night in the hospital while my dad left. He got clothes and came back the next day. I was very uncomfortable. The bed was ok but the IV in my arm was not ok. I tried to get it out several times but my mom kept yelling at me. It was important and I needed it and some other things she went on about. I didn't listen to much. I had my tablet and ear phones. I was good until the battery died. I left the next day and got home to rest. The whole time I was there, I was thinking about one thing. The kid I kicked in the shin. You know what they say. Karmas a bitch. They got that right.
