"Lyric" my dad calls.

Shit. What do I do😭

"Lyric are you in here?" He asks.

"Uhh yeah daddy, I'm just getting changed."

"We need to talk." He says.

"Ok one second" I say as I quickly change into my pyjamas, completely forgetting that Myles is right in front of me watching. I ignore it and walk out of the closet and shut the door.

"So, what did you wanna talk about?" I ask.

"Why you got suspended." He glares at me.

"Uhh...yeah..I can explain-"

"The principal tells me that you would have been suspended for 3 days but then you yelled 'fuck you' at him" he says calmly which is kinda scary.

"He also tells me that you started a fight with a girl on school campus with no motive" he seems to be getting madder and madder with each word.😰

"No I-"

"And as if that wasn't bad enough he also told me that you have a boyfriend!" He yells and I freeze. "Didn't I tell you I don't want you dating til your 18?!"

"Yeah but daddy that's not fair! Lucas was allowed to date from when he could talk..."

"But Lucas is not my daughter! He is a man and he can protect himself!"

"So can I! And mom had Lucas at 16!" I yell back.

"Do not raise your voice at me! You know what? I'm not arguing with you. You're not allowed to date and that's final!" I can feel tears forming in my eyes. "You are now grounded for a week. Slip up again and I make it 2, slip up a third time and I take your phone away." He says then turns around to leave my room.

Just as he's about to walk out we hear a thud coming from the closet.

"What was that?" He asks.

"It was probably just a shoe or something" I say hoping he'll ignore it.

"No, I heard somebody say ouch." He says walking over to the closet door and opening it.

I cover my face with my hands. Could this night get any worse?🤦🏾‍♀️😭

"What the fuck is this?!" My dad asks.

"Hey sir" Myles smiles and waves.

"Get the fuck outta my house!!" My dad yells.

Then Myles gets up, kisses my cheek then runs out the room before my dad can do anything. My dads face is filled with pure rage and I have to try so hard not to smile or laugh at how stupid Myles is.😂

"So he's your boyfriend? The boy I let you stay up here with unsupervised because I trusted you..."🤦🏾‍♂️

"Yeah..."

"What was he doing here?!" He asks.

"He just came to bring me my jacket that I left at school" I lie.

"Then why was he in the closet?" He asks.

"Because we knew that if you saw him in here you'd do exactly what you're doing now"

"You know you're not supposed to have people sneaking in the house ESPECIALLY not boys" he sighs.

"I'm sorry daddy"

"Did he touch you...in any way?" He asks.

"No we just hugged that's all." I lie trying not to think about what we actually did or I'll blush.

"Ok well you are now grounded for 3 weeks. Don't let me catch you out of your room again tonight." He threatens then leaves my room.

I unlock my phone and see that Myles texted me.
