I HAD TO SAY IT. There's this stigma that goes around that black men aren't in black children's lives. There was this statistic in 2015 that recorded that there was 85% of black couples who were married in America. 85%. I was so shocked because there's this minority group that cast a shadow over the black people who do have fathers. Now even if the other half aren't black couples I know that black men still in the lives of their children.

And some aren't but it shouldn't be dramatised so much so for black people. There's always a joke saying black people don't have fathers. Most of my African friends have fathers and if not they participate through finances or being part of their life.

And there's some of my friends who's fathers don't exist in their life. They don't see them and if they do it's irregular. But what I'm saying to you is when you write your black character please don't try to make a stereotypical character without a dad it isn't nice. When you write a black character you need to give them positive representation because in the world black people unfortunately aren't represented properly.
