"Thanks for walking me home.."
"Of course. I'll see you tomorrow."

Ace and I shared a hug, but it was interrupted as he scoffed.
"For fucks sake, is that him?"

Pulling away from Ace, I saw Dan running up towards us without an umbrella. His running slowed down as soon as he came closer.
"(Y/n).." Dan said, somewhat out of breath, "I-I'm sorry. I'm really.. really sorry."
"Of course he is." Ace rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Did you walk her home?!"

The two of them gave each other a dirty look... as usual.

"No shit, Howell. You think I was going to leave her by herself? You do that enough, don't ya think?!"

"Guys, enough." I voiced in, but they both continued to argue.

"What the fuck is your problem, anyway?"

"My fucking problem is dumbasses like you who think they can get away with shit!"

"I came to apologize!"

"You wouldn't need to apologize if you had shown up earlier!"

"Excuse me!" I finally shouted. The two boys gave each other one last death glare before passing their attention to me.
I let go of a heavy sigh, "Thank you once again, Ace, for walking me. I'll see you in the morning."

"Anything for you." Ace handed off my umbrella back to me before opening his. He glared at Dan once more before walking off.

"(Y/n)..." Dan spoke in a more calmer tone.

"Why the hell didn't you bring an umbrella? You're soaking wet, Daniel."

Dan eyes widened a bit to my stern voice. He looked down at his clothes and ruffled his hair a little, "I just wanted to see you... I really am sorry. Phil and I were recording a video and I-"

"You lost track of time, didn't you?"

Dan's wet hair and puppy dog eyes caused my heart to forgive him instantly, but I refused to show him that so soon.

"How the hell can he still look so cute even when he's drenched from the rain?!"

"I'm sorry..." He apologized once again.
I rolled my eyes and took hold of his hand, "C'mon."

-

"Hey, (y/n)! How was your walk with-" Violet trailed off as soon as Dan walked into the apartment behind me.
"Brought you your favorites." I handed the roses off to her. Violet held them close as she stared at Dan.

"Hi." Dan awkwardly waved to her. Violet hesitated, but slowly waved back to him. She sat down on the sofa and continued to watch the two of us.

"Leave your shoes by the door and hang your coat."
Dan nodded and proceeded to do as he was told.

"Sh-Should I make some tea?" Violet asked shyly.
"Please." I responded. I took Dan's hand and led him to the bathroom.

"You take a shower to warm yourself up and I'll dry your clothes for you. They should be done by the time you're out." I told Dan as I turned the shower on for him; setting the water to a warm temperature.
Turning back around to face him, Dan had already taken off his shirt.

"... Oh fuck. OKAY, STAY CALM."

"Do you want me to leave the rest of my clothes outside the bathroom door?" Dan asked, handing me his shirt.

"Please for the love of all that is holy... SAY SOMETHING."

A harsh blush creeped it's way onto my cheeks.
"Yeah. Yeah, that's fine." I took his shirt from him and stepped out of the bathroom, closing the door behind me.

A few seconds later, Dan cracked the door open a bit, leaving the rest of his clothes out.

I gathered up his clothes and heard Violet's footsteps coming up behind me.
"Are those his clothes?" She whispered.

"Duh."

"The Dan Howell is naked in our bathroom!" She teased me.

"Violet!" I said back to her, lowering my voice.

"Go get in the shower with him, and I'll sell his clothes online."

She laughed to her own joke as I groaned in response to it.

Violet helped me load his outfit into the dryer, and we waited together until him and his clothes were finished.

-

"Thank you.." Dan said as Violet handed him a cup of tea. He was wrapped up in my blanket, his hair still slightly wet from the shower.

Violet excused herself to her room, leaving Dan and I alone in the living room.

Dan took sips from the tea as we sat in silence for a moment. His large hands making the large cup seeming smaller than it looked.

"(Y/n)-"
"If you're going to apologize again, please don't."

Silence fell between us again; only the sound of rain coming from outside to be heard.

"Why did he walk you home?"
"It's not like you were going to."

Dan leaned over to set the tea down on the coffee table.

"You could've asked Violet to pick you up."
"Well you could've shown up like you said you would."
"But why him?"
"Are you jealous, Howell?"

Dan took a deep breath, furrowing his brows.

"No.." He said behind grit his teeth. "I just... I don't like him; he's an asshole."
"Says the one who flaked."

Dan took hold of my hand, giving me the same puppy dog eyes from earlier.

"Don't look at me like that."

He brought my hand up to his warm lips, giving it a soft kiss.

"Dan."

He then leaned in close to me until our foreheads met.

"Please forgive me." He whispered.

His brown eyes sunk into mine, and my heart easily gave in.

"Daniel!" I giggled.

Dan threw the blanket around me before wrapping his long arms around my body. Our bodies flipped to where we were laying on the sofa; him on top of me. He had his usual grin that showcased his dimples.

"Are you done trying to be cute?" I asked, smiling back.

"Only if you'll answer me this."

"What?"

Dan stared down at me, holding his grin. His eyes roamed my face as if they were painting a picture. They stopped at my lips for a moment, before reconnecting with my eyes once again.

"Will you please be mine?"
