Chapter 11: Monthsary

Arah's POV

"Hello?" Sagot ko sa kabilang linya. Nandito ako ngayon sa field mag isa. Hindi pa kasi tapos ang klase nina Dina at Jelly kaya nauna na ako sa favorite hang out place namin.

May mangilan ngilang students din ang nandito pero malayo sa kung nasaan ako kaya ayos lang sakin dahil mas makakapag focus ako sa ginagawa ko.

Nagbabasa ako ng libro ngayon kaya hindi naman ako na bobored ng may biglang tumawag sa phone ko.

[Where are you Bae?] Awtomatiko naman akong napa ngiti ng marinig ang boses na yun.

It's been a month na ng maging offficial kami ni Dave. Mabilis din kumalat sa university ang balitang yun. A lot were happy for us and of course may mga hindi din but I don't care.

"Hmm.. sa field. Hinihintay ang mga kaibigan ko." Sagot ko as I flip into the next page.

[Okay.] And with that, bigla nyang pinatay ang tawag. My smile fades and I rolled my eyes saka ulit pinagpatuloy ang pagbabasa ko.

Bahala sya sa trip nya sa buhay.

Nasa kalagitnaan na ako ng pagbabasa ng biglang may tumakip sa mga mata ko.

"The hec–" I was sealed shut by a quick kiss saka ko mabilis na tinanggal ang kamay na naka takip sa mga mata ko and saw an upside-down Dave smiling at me.

I blushed after realising the position he did while kissing me. Mabuti na lang at walang naka kita

"No swearing or I'll do that again." Banta nya na naka ngiti. Magsasalita pa sana ako ng inilapit nya ang boquet of roses sa mukha ko.

"Happy first monthsary Bae." Bati nya. I thought he forgot.

"Happy monthsary din." I said surprising him with a quick kiss. Bigla naman syang napa hinto dahil sa ginawa ko.

I chuckled and snap my fingers in front of him.

"You fine?" Tanong ko. He blinked before looking at me.

"Damn Bae, you look hot when you do it." Napa takip na lang ako ng mukha ko. This dude here never fails to make me blush.

"Whatever Dave–" He kissed me again!

"What did I say when you call me with my name again?" I rolled my eyes at him. Hindi ko na ibibigay ang regalo ko sa kanya. Nakakarami na sya ng kiss eh.

Hindi naman as in expensive yung gift ko sa kanya. It's a watch na nakita ko while we're shopping last time. I bought it and wrote a letter for him too.

"Tss!" Kinuha nya naman ang kamay ko at may isinuot sa aking pulsuhan. I looked at it and saw a silver bracelet with a carvings of Keeping You Forever.

"Wow!" I gasped and run my fingers into it. It's so pretty.

"You like it?" I nodded with a big smile plastered on my face.

"It's so pretty!" Niyakap ko sya.

"Thank you so much." He smiled and held my wrist gently.

"This only means, that whatever happens. You will be mine until we grow old and I will be yours too. So I am keeping you forever, miss Carla Fuentes." I nodded happily.

All I can feel is that, I'm on cloud nine. I am so happy that it made me cry.

This is one of the moments I wish and hope to stay permanent. Yet I know, this happiness we felt might be temporary.

But nevertheless, I will savour this moment with the guy I love.

"I love you so much, Arah." He said sincerely while holding my hands.

"Thank you Dave. For loving me." I replied. After that I handed him my gift and he opened it as soon as he saw it.

Napatawa na lang ako. He looked like a child kasi, receiving his gift for the first time.

"Wow! Nice, thank you!" Masayang wika nya ng makita ang relo, at gaya ng tactic nya, ninakawan nya uli ako ng halik.

Umiling na lang ako. Sinuot nya naman kaagad ang relo at binuksan ang letter na naka dikit sa box ng relo.

He read it in front of me while I just watched him.

'Bae,

I may not be the best girlfriend for you, but I will surely do my best to make you happy. I hope you feel happy when you're with me the same feeling when I'm with you too.

Hinarap nya ako matapos mabasa ang sulat atsaka niyakap ng mahigpit.

"Bae? Are you alright? What's wrong?" Tanong ko, returning his hug.

"I love you so much Arah. I really do." Sagot nya habang naka hawak sa magkabila kong pisngi at hinaplos haplos ito. I smile at his touch.

"I know you need assurance Arah. But let me tell you, what I'm feeling right now is real. Hindi man maganda ang una nating pagkikita but I freaking love you so damn much. Sayo lang 'ata ko naging ganito." He eagerly and frustratedly say. I understand him. I know he wanted to hear that word leaving my lips.

But, I'm scared.

We stayed silent for a minute before I decided to break the silence.

"I'm scared Dave...." Bulong ko at ibinaba ang tingin.

I'm scared right now. Bumalik na naman kasi ang memories ng deal namin. From the begining I know mahuhulog talaga ako sa kanya. And he's right. I need assurance. Na totoo talaga ang lahat ng pinapakita nya. Na hindi lang ito tungkol sa bet namin.

"Hanggang ngayon ba, yun pa rin ang nasa isip mo? Yung kundisyon ko? No, it's not that Bae. Kahit anong mangyari at kahit kailan hindi ko na babawiin 'to. Mahal na mahal na kita eh. Hindi ka naman manhid para hindi mo maramdaman yun. Besides, nag start man tayo sa pagiging girlfriend/boyfriend dahil sa pustahan, araw araw naman kitang nililigawan sa bahay nyo 'di ba? I'm very sincere about you baby. I know you're scared. But you don't have to. Everything you see in me is real Arah. And I won't give up until I hear you say those three words. I will wait Arah. I can wait until you're ready. But always remember, I love you and will always love you." Mahabang litanya nya that made my heart melt. I can really feel that he love me so much.

I cried.

"Stop crying Bae." He said kissing me on my forehead.

"Tears of joy naman 'to eh. Just let me." Medyo masungit kong wika at maya maya ay nag tawanan kami.

This guy is more than what I've wished for.
