Chapter 19: Friends

Arah's POV

"Bye everyone, I'll see you all next week. Remember, everyone is required to attend the ball tomorrow night." I heaved a sigh.

"Got it mrs. Jones!"

"Bye mrs. Jones!" Tumayo na ako saka niligpit ang mga gamit ko.

Finally, weekend na. Kahit na gusto kong manatili sa condo para makipag Netflix and chill kay tita Reyha ay hindi ko magawa. May ball kasi bukas ng gabi, it was some sort of celebration for all of the students dahil kakatapos lang ng exam week namin. 

Guess I have to fix myself for the party.

"Hey, you're Arah Fuentes right?" Itinaas ko ang tingin ko mula sa ginagawa and saw three people standing in front of me.

"Hi. Uhm, yeah?" The three of them smiled at me. Hindi naman sila mukhang bullies or mean girls for me, so I guess gusto lang nila akong kaibiganin.

"I'm Lucy Max, this is Kennedy Hefter and Paris Wilkins. Are you free tomorrow? We're going to the ball tomorrow night, wanna come and join us?" Diretsong saad ng babaeng nasa gitna. Napanganga na lang ako.

Lucy kinda looked like Taylor Hill, she's a brunette na sa tingin ko 5'8 ang taas, I think she's a model her thick Aussie accent is on the spot. Tapos si Kennedy naman ay medyo may Cara Delevinge style, blondina and medyo sassy while Paris looks like Barbara Palvin. Omg. They're all goddess.

I'm speechless.

"U-uh..."

"Don't worry, we're not meanies or what. We saw you always alone and we want you to be our friend. Is that okay?" Biglang nag iba ang tono ni Lucy, she sounded concern.

"Oh no. It's fine for me. This is just the first time someone invited me. You know, newbie here." Saka ako tumawa. Bigla namang inangkla ni Paris ang braso nya sa akin.

"That's great then! We're your friends from now on. So don't feel any awkwardness when you're with us. Trust me, we're not bullies—" Masayang saad ni Paris ng bigla syang putulin ng kung sino man kaya napa tingin kami sa may entrance ng room.

"You betcha be careful with 'em. They like beast– aww!" Kennedy or I'll just call her Ken, hit this blonde guy with a piercing on his left ear.

"Shut up David! You're ruining the moment!" Ken hissed and I felt a little pang on my chest.

Ano ba yan, kung saan iniiwasan kong marinig ang pangalan na yan kahit panandalian, ayaw naman akong lubayan.

"Gosh! Why are you such a moron?" I saw the three girls rolled their eyes on him and smiled at me.

"Don't mind her girl. He's just thirsty for attention." Paris nudge me lightly.

"Hey, hey! You guys are meanies! Anyways, Oit there lil beauty, am David Robert Jones, you can call me David, Dave, Robert or Rob." Oemgee! His British accent is so friggin thick and sexy. He extended his right hand and I took it.

"Carla. Carla Fuentes, but I prefer you call me Arah. Nice meeting you Rob." Mas bet ko yung Rob. Mas madaling bigkasin, iwas pain sa feeling.

"Much more nice meeting ya— aww! What's wrong with you Connor?!" Both of us were shocked when Ken hit her again. This girl looked so upset.

"Shut the effin up Roberto! Leave us be and don't call me Connor! Why does you have to be my freakin cousin? This is so embarrassing. I have to run some DNA test to the both of us so I can really make sure if you're really my relative." Mas lalo naman akong nagulat sa nalaman ko.

"Heck Connor! I ain't gonna let that happen again, dude! This is the ninth time ya did that. You just was'in ya money on nothin. It'll be the same. We are one of a hella fam." Rob retorted while Ken just made faces.

"Wait, cousins?" Lucy and Paris nodded their heads.

"Yup. They're blood related." They both said in unison.

"And I hate it." Rob and Ken also said in unison. Wait, what's going on here?

I chuckled. I actually find these four people amusing.

"Anyways, give us your number so we can add you on our chat group." Kinuha ko naman ang phone ni Lucy na mukhang excited saka inilagay ang number ko. My phone beep and they showed me that I am already in their chat group.

"Thank you." I smiled. This feels so good. Meeting new people and environment. I think this can help me forget those painful memories, right?

"Hey! How 'bout ya put you're number in my phone too?" I stared at Rob and laugh awkwardly. Mukha namang napipikon na talaga ang pinsan nya sa kanya kaya naman dali dali na itong nag paalam sa amin saka lumabas ng room.

Ken might really be scary when she's angry. I'll not mess with this girl.

Maya maya ay bigla kaming binalot ng katatawanan.

"His face is priceless!" Wika ni Paris while clutching her stomach. Naluluha na din sa kakatawa si Lucy while Ken is just smirking while holding her phone.

She showed it to us and we burst in a fit of laughter for the second time!

I didn't know she snap a picture of Rob earlier.

"You guys are definitely something." I said while wiping some tears in my eyes.

"He's so annoying." Ken rolled her eyes.

"Well, are you going home now Arah? Do you want to go with us?" Tanong naman ni Lucy sakin.

"Oh! Actually, I have to go somewhere today, so."

"Right. Then, we'll see you tomorrow. Bye girl!"

"Thanks!" After that we parted our ways.

I puff a sigh of relief. Siguro nga hindi na din masama ang desisyon kong lumipad at magpakalayo layo.

I hope this can help me start new things, somehow.
