From Nerd to Jerk

Chapter 19 Pt. 2

"Sorry," Clayton said sheepishly as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Well, she likes David," I lied giving him a sad smile.

"What? Why him? He's the second biggest player in this school, right next to Adam. What does he have that I don't?" Clayton yelled.

"Are you crying?" I asked peering at his blue eyes.

"No," He sniffed.

"Yes, you are," I smiled, hiding my laugh.

"No," He frowned.

"Then what?" I asked.

"My eyes are peeing," He said with a straight face.

"I'm just kidding," I said choking with laughter.

"What?" Clayton asked giving me a weird look.

"She likes you," I laughed.

"What?!" Clayton choked out.

"She. Likes. You," I whispered slowly.

"You're mean," Clayton frowned as he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.

"Put me down, you idiot," I frowned.

"No," Clayton frowned back, "You're mean,"

"Whatever, I'm calling Adam," I sighed as I reached for my phone.

"Nope," Clayton smirked as he reached into my back pocket and took my phone.

"AHH," I shrieked, as Clayton covered my mouth.

"Shut up," He hissed.

"Well would you put me down then?" I asked batting my eyelashes.

"Ok, but you have to help me ask her out," He said putting my feet back on the ground.

"Sure, but you have to give me back my phone," I frowned, crossing my arms.

"Sure," He said handing me my phone as he got into his car.

"Go to Walmart," I said putting in my seat belt.

"Why?" Clayton asked.

" 'Cause, I have another plan," I shrugged.

     The next day I walked in to school with eight Hershey's Kisses in my backpack. The plan was to have one person in each of Tiana's classes to give her one chocolate kiss each period. At the end of school, Clayton is going to ask her out.

   "Hey, give me the stuff. I'm gonna give it to people to give to Tiana," Clayton said putting out his hand. I put the bag into his hand and he walked away.

 "Where's he going?" Tiana asked as she walked up next to me.

"I don't know, " I lied.

"Hey, Brooke," Adam smiled giving me a small peck on the lips. Dang it, the 'sparks' again.

"Hey," I smiled back.

"Why are you guys smiling like that?" Tiana asked.

"Oh, I don't know. I just think today is going to be really interesting," I grinned as the bell rang.

 "Um, ok," Tiana replied as she walked away.

 "Guys!" Tiana called over to us at our table during lunch.

"What?" We all said trying not to sound suspicious.

 "Everyone keeps giving me chocolate!" She said.

 "Free food is a good thing," Clayton shrugged.

 "Well, I still don't know why they're giving me food," She huffed placing her stuff on the ground.

 "Brooke!" Tiana yelled, "I got more chocolate,"

"So how many do you have now?" I asked awkwardly.

"I have eight. One for each period," She said realizing the pattern.

"Oh, that's cool," I shrugged.

"It's a coincidence that they all gave the same thing to me on the same day. Wait! What if someone was planning this?" Tiana cried. Oh snap. She's catching on. Where's Clayton? Just as that thought crossed my mind, Clayton appeared in front of us.

"Hey, Tiana. I need to ask you something," Clayton grinned.

"Uh, ok?" She said blushing.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked holding out a chocolate kiss.

She leaned up close to him and said, "Yes." Smiling she picked up the kiss, unwrapped it and popped it into her mouth.

"Yay! She said 'yes' ! " I cried, "Oh, sorry. I ruined the moment right?"

"Aww. It's ok. Thank you though," Clayton said pulling me into a bear hug.

"Dude, hug your own girlfriend," Adam chuckled.

"When'd you get here?" I asked.

"Wait. You guys were in on this?" Tiana asked.

"Yea," Adam and I said sheepishly.

"You guys are mean," Tiana pouted.

"I can live with that, let's go Brooke," Adam smirked before kissing me on the cheek.

Anyway, when Clayton asked out Tiana, that was based off real life :D heheh not to me but to someone else, but i gave the girl some of the candy though :P
