Chapter fifteen

"So you're joey" My sister said as we were walking down to the car.
"I sure am and you're Alex" Joey smiled.
"Yup and I am eight years old!".
"She's so cute!" Joey mouthed to me.
We hopped in the car together.

As soon as we started driving away Alex said "Ellaaaaa!  I want candy!".
"No Alex,  you'll never sleep".
"But Ellaaaaa".
 
Joey pulled up at a shop "Ella I want candy!" He said childishly "So me and Alex are going inside and there's nothing you can do about it!".
"Yayyy! " Alex cheered from the back.

They both hopped out. I couldnts help but smile. They had only just met and they were already best friends. I loved how nice Joey was too her.

Five minutes later they came out of the shop carrying a big bag of sweets.
Once they hopped in the car I said to Joey "How much candy did yous buy".
"Let's just say a lot".
"You can deal with her when she gets super hyper".

We arrived back at my building and we all went up to my room. The big bouquet of flowers was still lying on my bed with the chocolates. There was things lying all around my room.
"Wow Ella this place is a mess" Joey said jokingly.
"I haven't been home since last night, what do you expect".

"Can we have candy nowww?" Alex asked.
"Of course you can" Joey said handing her the bag.
I started tiding things up.

When I came back into the room, Joey and Alex were sitting on the floor pigging out on all the candy.

"Red vine?" Joey asked lifting the packet.
"Oh no, I hate red vines!" I said pretending to be disgusted.
"You hate red vines!?" Joey exclaimed almost screaming.
"Of course I'm only kidding, I love them" I laughed sitting beside him.
"Thank god, because honestly that's a deal breaker for me".

"Ella can we watch a movie?" Alex asked.
"We sure can! Joey go get my laptop" I said.
"Lazy lazy" Joey sighed standing up.

He left the room and Alex cane over to me.
"I like Joey" She whispered.
"I like him too" I said smiling.

Joey came back in carrying my laptop. He handed it to me and I opened it up. I found some cartoon children's Movie and put it on. Twenty minutes into the movie I got up and went into the kitchen, I grabbed a bottle of water and leaned against the counter drinking it.
Joey came in.
"You okay Ella?".
"Yeah I'm fine, just tired that's all".
"I love your little sister, she's great"
"Yeah she really likes you too, yous get on really well".
"I'm just a really likeable person" He laughed.
"That's true" I smiled.

We went back into the movie, falling asleep in each others arms.

In the morning the three of us were woken by a knock on the door. "Clean the wrappers off the floor" I said standing up and going over to the door.
I opened it up and mum and dad were standing outside.
"Hello Honey, Were here to pick up Alex" Mom said.
Joey came to my side.
"Oh hello Joey, we're you helping Ella babysit?".
"I sure was".
"Oh well isn't that lovely. Is Alex ready to go".
"Do I have to go?" Alex groaned coming to the door.
"Unfortunately Honey, but we will see Ella and Joey at the show tonight".
"Finee" Alex sighed.
"I don't think I'll see you guys before the show so best of luck, you'll do brilliantly!".
"Thanks Mom".

When my parents left I went back into my room and collapsed onto my bed.
"Were going to be wrecked tonight" I laughed.
"Yeah but it'll all be worth it".
Just then joey got a text, his phone was beside me so I picked it up.

"Can I read it joey?".
"Yeah go ahead"

It was a text from Jessica, I rolled my eyes and opened it.

Hey jo-bear, wishing you the best of
Luck tonight ♡ I won't be able to
See the show until the last night :((
Until then, lots of love from Jessica
♡♡♡xxx

I almost got sick reading the text. Who did this girl think she was?!

"Who was it" Joey asked.
"Jessica.." I sighed.
"Oh what did she say".
I read pit the text to him. He told me to text her a thank you message, which I reluctantly did.

I admit that I was glad that I wouldn't have to see her until the last show.
