There was no way Cas was going to be able to sleep with everything going on in his head. He knew what was coming. He knew he needed to keep quiet about it. Why did it have to be today? Why did such a perfect day have to come to a shitty end? He slipped out of Dean's grasp, made his way to his bedroom, and climbed out the window onto his roof. He sat there, watching the sky grow a deep navy blue. The blue-eyed teen basked in the chilly air, sucking it into his lungs and watching his breath fold over itself and drift down as his lungs pushed it out through his lips. Hoping Dean was still asleep, he twiddled his thumbs at the sight of headlights. Cas ran downstairs so his mom wouldn't wake up the others by barging in. His mom had come to talk with Bobby, but Bobby didn't know she was coming early. Cas never told him. He didn't want his grandpa to have to deal with her anymore. The woman stepped out of the car. She was so twisted and intimidating, even her presence filled Cas to the brim with dread and anxiety.
"Hey mom."
