Yandel Pov:

"Follow me" he spoke emotionless as I stood there. "I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what's going on Shawn". He looked over his shoulder as his body followed approaching me.

"You can come willingly or I will force you, the option is yours" he softly, but aggressively spoke. I sighed walking towards him as he turned down the first hall in his apartment. He unlocked a door with his finger print, as the door made a few chamber noses unlocking.

He walked into a dark room, that lit up as we entered. "Can you explain please" I mumbled looking around to computer monitors, and huge tv screens. "Is that my dorm building?" I asked approaching one of the TV screens. "Shawn" , I called out as he stepped behind me.

I looked around to the other monitors that showed street views, highway views, stores, alleys. "What is all of this?" I asked as he typed on his keyboard bringing up a warehouse. He still didn't answer my question as I walked up to him.

"Stop asking questions you're not ready for" he spoke, still not looking at me as he grabbed a pin writing down a street name. "Where's your phone?" He asked as I searched my pocket. He grabbed it from my hand walking towards a safe. He unlocked it sticking my phone in there, grabbing something else.

"You can only receive incoming calls, from me only" he said handing it to me. "Stay here, I'll be back" he said as he walked towards the door. "Don't touch anything" he demanded walking out the room quickly, as it closed. I watched as the green light switched red. It made those chamber noses again as I turned back towards the monitors.

My eyes scanned the screen as I watched Shawn leave out his back door. He removed a cover from around what seemed like a motorcycle. Clearly it was as I watched the one light turn on. The phone rung in my hand as a "+0009" number appeared on the screen.

"He- llo" I nervously spoke as Shawn started to talk. "Is the van still there?" He asked as I looked at the screen. "Yes, but what doe. . " before I could get the world out the call ended. I sighed in frustration getting up from the chair walking around the room.

Time passed as I sat in the corner, watching the street from the ceiling window. The door opened to Shawn walking in looking around for me. "I'm up here" I loudly spoke as he looked up to me climbing down the ladder. He was removing his jacket as I jumped down from the last step.

He grunted removing his shirt, blood slowly dripped from his arm as he sat his gun down. "You're bleeding" I said as he walked to a cabinet. He didn't say anything as he patched himself as if this was a normal routine. "Shawn" I mumbled grabbing his hand as he looked at me.

"If you're not going to tell me what's going on, can you just take me back to my school" I asked. "Sit" he mumbled as he walked towards the chair standing behind it. I sat as he turned the chair towards the computer.

He grabbed the computer mouse clipping on a few folder as a program opened. He entered a net password on this agents login screen, as I looked to my right eyeing him. "Read it. in your head" he said as I watched his profile pop up. "Sooo you're a private detective?" I questioned as he pulled up something else.

"That's stevin" I mumbled as he chuckled. "Agent Payne" he corrected me. "Huh?" I confusingly questioned spinning the chair as he stepped back. "Doesn't he always appear when you least expect him?" He said as I thought thinking.

Stevin. . I've seen him for years, he offered me a ride once. That's when we first started communicating, that lead to us talking more. He bought me everything I wanted, never made a pass at me, which I thought was strange, he cared for me a little too much, he knew of my parents, found them a house and approved it within a week, and got me this position. I thought in my head.

"Straggly, yes. He've been around all my childhood and high school years" I said scratching my head. "Wow, so there was never a physical nor emotional connection between us it was an act" I thought out loud. "Wait what are you talking about?" He asked looking at me.

"Nothing, just a thought" I sighed standing up. "Is Shawn your real name?" I asked as he shook his head no. Clearing my throat, "wow, umm". All my thoughts left my head as I walked off towards the door. "Yandel" he called out as I walked down the hall.

I searched for the restroom as I tried to open the door, my stomach felt extremely weak as I searched a few more doors until I found the right one. He called my name again as I walked in closing the door behind me.
"Yandel" he softly spoke again knocking on the door. I leaned over the toilet vomiting up my soul. "I'll explain everything to you, but you have to open the door" he said as I sat on the floor with my back against the wall.

The restroom was spinning as I held on to the sink pulling myself up to my feet. Twisting the nob turning on the water washing my mouth out as I splashed water on my face. Every thought I had rushed through my head at once, about everything that has happen in my life, from my parents, to my grandparents, to me not really knowing my family. "Marian" I heard him say as I pulled the door open. I watched as he fell back looking up at me.

He immediately stood up in front of me. "Real age?" I asked. "Twenty eight" he replied. "Are you really a student?" I asked. "Shawn is a student" he said. "Shawn isn't real!" I groaned through my teeth. "No, I'm not a student" he said. "Why did you bring me here?" I asked as both of his hands held on to the wall, blocking me in.

"To protect you" he said still looking at me. "Protect me from what?, I've been fine all my life, what do I need protection for?" I semi-groaned. "You've been protected all your life yandel" he spoke as I searched for a change of emotions in his face and tone. Nothing changed, his emotions and facial expression remained the same.

"So this whole, letting you in thing was fake too right?, you don't really like nor care about me, wooow" I thought out loud looking at him. He rubbed his forehead, tapping the wall. "My duties come first as your protector. By any means" he said as I walked closer to him. I starred into his eyes not finding one emotion as my breathing grew heavier.

The thought that sat in the back of my head, kelp rumbling around in my head. My hand started to twitch, as I slowly became lightheaded. "9,7,4,1" I repeated stopping myself from having a panic attack. "Shawn, Marian . . Please tell me my next question is true, please" I begged closing my eyes.

"Are my grandparents, really my grandparents?" I asked as my eyes watered. "I'm not authorized to speak on that clearance" he mumbled grabbing my face as I pulled away from him. "Don't touch me" I groaned as my breathing grew back heavy. "take me to my dorm" I spoke holding back my tears brushing pass him.

"Yandel" he softly spoke grabbing my arm, "Marian do your job, that's what you're here for right?" I carelessly spoke pulling away from his grip, drying my face.
