                     • Final Day | Graduates

The applauds eased as I stood on stage finishing my sentence. "It's been a year, but most of all it's been our year as a class. We've accomplished and achieved some of the highest goals. May the blessings continue to rain upon us" i finished off as the applauds picked back up.

We were called row by row until the last student crossed the stage. For this to be the last month of school, it took forever to come. I was beyond happy to be done with high school. The rules, teachers and the overall petty drama. Josh was talking to a few people before he rand over to me. "Congratulations baby", this is for you. He said handing me an envelope.

"Open it" he said as we walked out the building approaching my family. "Josh" I screamed out looking behind him. "I know right, Aya your men is officially a panther GAMU" he screamed out. "No baby it's your mom" I mumbled, as he looked at me crazy. "What are you talking about" he said as I turned him around. "How"' he froze as she stood side by side with my family as my mom rand up to me.

"Congratulations baby" she sung jumping up and down kissing me. I couldn't help but smile as my family stood their taking pictures. "Thank you mom" I said kissing her as josh stood there hugging his mom tight. "Anything for you honey" she whispered as josh mom approached us drying her face. "Thank you for taking care of him, he's all grown and mature now" his mom said shaking my hand.

I handed her the envelope as she looked at josh with more tears in her eyes. "Is this yours josh" she gasped. She cried out hugging him again as I couldn't help but smile. "You're going to be somebody, I promise baby just keep up and focus on you" she said as she hugged him.

"Thank you" she whispered in my ear hugging me as josh hugged my mom. "We're having dinner at his grandmas if you guys wanted to join?" my mom asked as she agreed to come. Josh walked up beside me as we spoke with a few friends before heading to the car.

"You did that?" He asked as we walked behind our parents. "Kinda, I know you missed her and my parents have connection and the rest is history baby" I said smiling at him as he nodded his head. "You should be the one to tell her about us before it comes up during dinner" I said as he started to bit his lip. "Damn I forgot all about that" he laughed. "It's so natural being with you"'he smiled as we approached the car.

Yandel Pov:

Have you ever been so caught up in a moment where nothing in life matters? The breeze blew a funnel of leafs around me as I crossed the yard. Everything felt at ease, a little too at ease. My mom opened the trunk as she screamed my name. I slowly turned around as my grandparents stood there waving me over.

"Just to show our appreciation, me and your father have been out of your life for sixteen years and that's time we will never be able to get back. I'm so thankful that the lord gave us a second chance to be with you, we love you yandel" she said as she held her hand out with a box. I opened it as they all stood there smiling. "Wait what's this?" I asked holding the picture in my hand. "You're going to be a big brother" she smiled as I covered my mouth.

Words couldn't describe how I felt, for the longest I felt I was in this world alone with nobody to guid me, and the fact that I'll be able to give that support to a younger sibling warmed my heart completely. I sighed looking at the paper smiling. "That's not all" my grandmother said as I turned her way.
