Chapter 40: The Invite

~Mercy POV~

I woke up to the sweet smell of pancakes, smiling I got out of bed and made my way to the kitchen.

"Someone is up!" Spencer commented as he poured the batter into the firing pan. I smiled, its been almost a month since I moved in with Spencer and everything was going smoothly. The biggest problem we had was how are we going to make room for my books. Thankfully Reid manged to make room to fit all of our books. I made my way towards Spencer and nuzzled my head in his shoulder taking in his familiar sent.

"I'm not complaining Reidsters but I can make my own breakfast." I said

"I know but I wanted to make you something special, since its our day off." he argued as he flipped the pancake. I kissed his cheek

"That's exactly my point Reid its Sunday you could have slept in. You deserve a little sleep you know." I explained, I shot him a smile

"Well its too late for that Mercy, get a plate its time to eat."He said, I lifted Reid's chin and pressed our lips in a passionate kiss.

"Hey Reidsters, I really appreciate it I really do." I reassured him, he shot me a smile

"I know that you meant to say Mercy."

"Good, I'm going to check if we got any mail." I said,

"But first..." I grabbed a fork and took a small bite from the pancake

"Oh god this is amazing Reidsters you are very talented." I commented. I made my way to the door, that's when I noticed a small letter sticking out of the drawer. I raised my eyebrows That's odd, we would Spencer try to hide a letter from me? I thought. I opened the drawer and took out the letter, I ripped open the envelop and started reading.

Dear Dr. Spencer Reid,

We are inviting you to the class of 2002 High School reunion. The reunion is going to be held on the 27th of February at the Las Vages Public High School. We'd really appreciate it if you could come! Thank you and we hope to see you soon.

"Mercy are you alright?" Reid questioned, I turned around and started waking back to the kitchen flashing the letter.

"Reidsters you didn't tell me that you had a high school reunion and that its in a few days." I questioned, shooting Spencer a mischievous glance. He nervously rubbed the back of his neck

"Well I didn't tell you because I'm not going." he exclaimed, I gave him my are you serious look.

"Why don't you want to go?" I asked

"I really don't see the point of going Mercy. Besides even if I wanted to go I don't Hotch would just let us go on a trip to Las Vegas at the last minute." He replied. My eyes drifted to my cell phone which way laying on the kitchen table. I took a step forward.

"Well you wouldn't know if don't ask." I said, I grabbed the phone

"Mercy give me the phone." he said

"No, sorry ." I said as I started running towards the bathroom. I could help but let out a laugh as I rushed into the bathroom. I locked the door

"Come on Mercy open the door!" Reid exclaimed,
