Chapter 29: Beautiful Minds

~ Reid POV~

She looked so beautiful I thought as watched Mercy sleep, she always looked beautiful to me both with and without make up. She was just a mesmerizing both inside and out. Like all girls she looked different without make up, she looked a lot younger, her eyes looked wilder and she had dark circles around her eyes. Probably form the nightmares, since she started working with the BAU she has been having really bad nightmares. I told her that they will get better that they won't bother you as much as they used to, and that was true. My nightmares weren't as bad as when I stared working, but Mercy was still new to this job. She sometimes came by my apartment when her nightmares get really bad. I let out a sigh and started tracing circles on her back

"Someone's awake." She whispers turning around to face me,

"Hey." I said, she smiled and pressed her forehead against my shoulder

"I really wish we don't have to go to work today." Mercy said

"Well you know we have to go." I replied, she let out a groan

"I know I just want to stay here next to you." She confessed

"I love you, you know that right?" I say, she giggled "Yea I know you told me like a dozen times last night." She said jokingly, I laughed pulling her closer capturing her lips in mine. I pulled back

"We better get ready for work." I insisted.

"Just 5 more minutes." She mumbled, I smiled and kissed her forehead

"I'll wake you up in five minutes." I said, she smiled went back to sleep.

~Mercy POV~

My eyes flutter open, I let out a sigh What time is it? I thought, I looked at the clock... it was 7:30. Oh my god I am going to be late thought. I put on my underwear, cloths and rushed out of Reid's apartment making my way to mine. I quickly got into the showers and then changed into a dark purple blouse, dark blue jeans and brown high heeled boots. I grabbed my bag and cellphone and rushed out, I got in my car.

I arrived at the office quickly making my way to the small kitchen, where I made myself a cup of coffee. Since I didn't have time to make coffee at home, I let out a sigh and took a sip of my coffee

"Hey Mercy." I hear a familiar voice say, I turned around and saw Reid holding a cup of coffee he gave me a shy smile.

"You know when I said 5 minutes I really meant 5 minutes not half an hour." I stated

"You looked so peaceful you needed the rest, I was going to tell Hotch you weren't feeling well and that you couldn't come." He explained, I smiled at the gesture. He cupped my face

"Just to clarify I didn't regret last night. "He said,

"I never doubted you Spencer."

"I know I just wanted to tell you that not because I thought you doubted me but because I love you. Also because last night was the best night of my life." I giggled at Reid statement.

"I love you too Reidsters." I gave him a light kiss and pulled back. I continued drinking my coffee while I listened to Reid talk about a recent space theory he heard about when he was wacthing discovery channel.
