Chapter 7: Knocking Down Chocolate Thunder

~Mercy POV~

Reid and I enter the station, making our way to a small room followed by JJ Emily, Morgan and Rossi

"How did the morgue go?" Emily asked

"well the M.E was very sweet and she found a piece of paper inside Jordan Philips throat it said Go to hell." I explained

"Well at least it confirms it's not a random killing!" JJ said,

"But we aren't close to catching the unsub either." Rossi complained

"Hey Mercy I hear that you gave pretty boy here quite a beating." Morgan said as he placed his hands on Reid's shoulder.

"Yea so?" I gave him a smirk

"No its just pretty boy here is very easy target, so don't get all too full of yourself." He said in a cocky manner, I laughed

"Morgan trust me you don't want to go there." Reid warned him

"Oh really Morgan, I bet I kick your sorry ass just as easily as I beat Reidsters." I said sassily,

"Woah there Baby I wouldn't get your hopes up." Morgan said

"Morgan trust me you shouldn't get YOUR hopes up." I reply, I saw Spencer shaking his head at Morgan

"Morgan trust me this is the one time you should have kept your mouth shut!" Reid warned him "Please Reid these guns aren't here for nothing." Morgan said defensively. Just then Hotch entered the room

"Jordan's boyfriend just came in the station!" Hotch announced

"I'll go talk to him." I offered, Hotch nodded in agreement.

I made way to a small dim lit room and saw a well-built man in his mid-twenties with light ash blonde hair. He looked at me and stood up

"Hi I'm Mason." He said, his eyes were red with tears

"Hi I'm Dr. Mercy Johnson I'm with the FBI I'm so sorry for your lose." I shook his hand

"I can't believe that Jordan's dead, I mean I called him a few days ago he was fine... He said he was with some friends at a club." He started sobbing, I took his hand and squeezed it

"Was there anyone who would want to hurt Jordan?" I asked

"No, No he just came out to his parents they seemed genuinely happy for him. We just got engaged." I looked at his index finger I saw a silver ring with a small diamond encrusted in it.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry." I said, he looked at me his eyes were full of tears

"I just can't believe that someone would have the heart to do that." I gave him a sympathetic smile "Mason I promise you that I do everything, I can to put whoever did this behind bars." I promised him.

"Well I just talked to Jordan's boyfriend he said that they recently got engaged. We could be looking at a hate crime." I suggested

"I call Garcia." Morgan said, he took out his phone and dialed Garcia's number

"Hey sweetness I need you to check if the victims had any connection to the LGBT community?" Morgan asked

"No none of the victims except Jordan had ties to the LGBT community sorry guys." She said
