Chapter 6: The Festival Of The Dead

~Mercy's POV~

I sat quietly in my seat looking in distance I let out a sigh , I looked at Reid he was quietly reading the Harry Potter's I blushed Oh Mercy you really got it bad don't you I thought , that's when JJ sat down next to me

"Hey JJ!" I said, she seemed tired

"Hey."

"You ok you seem tired?" I asked curiously

"Henry he was up all night he's been having nightmares." She explained, I gave her an empathetic look "Poor kid, already having nightmares." I said

"Yea it's really scary sometimes seeing him like that." JJ admitted, I took a quick glance at Spencer remembering the night he stayed with me when I had my nightmares. I couldn't help but blush

"I see you have a particular liking to another member of the team." JJ whispered, I could feel my face heating up

"What-What are you talking about?" I said awkwardly

"Mercy I'm the only one who knows about your feelings for Spencer so don't worry. You can trust me you know." She reassured me, I smiled

"I know I can JJ thanks." She smiled

"So have you told him?" she asked curiously

"No, No I haven't told him , I mean what if he doesn't feel the same way I don't want to ruin our friendship ." I admitted, I took another quick glance at Spencer and our eyes met, I smiled and he blushed, dropping his gaze.

"When we land I want Reid and Mercy to go to the morgue, Morgan and JJ I want you to talk to the victims' relatives, Emily and Rossi I want go to check out the crime scenes and I will be working on victimology." Hotch ordered.

Reid and I made our way to the car parked next to the airport "I'm driving!" I said as I snatched the car keys form his hands. I jumped into the car, Reid entered the car slowly as possible trying not to flinch in pain. I couldn't help but laugh a little

"What are you laughing at?" he asked awkwardly,

"I'm so sorry I just couldn't help it." I burst into uncontrollable laughter

"It's not my fault that you put me through hell this morning!" he replied

"Ooohh Dr. Spencer Reid is cussing this is serious!" I joked, I started the car and we drove off

"I'm serious how do you tolerate such torture?" he asked, Great now he is using hyperbolizes on me I thought

"Well before my sister death I hated the gym I had no upper body strength whatsoever .But after her death I was afraid I end up the same way so I stared to train. I thought if I can't kill him at least I put on a hell of a fight. And he will have a permanent reminder of who I am and how I wouldn't be defeated by him." I explained, Reid let out a small laugh

"Believe he will remember you putting him through hell." I laughed

"Aww Spencer you always know how to cheer me up!" I complimented him, he nervously ran his fingers through his hair. I smiled

"You know Reidsters you need to start training because if you don't anyone can beat the living crap out of you!" I suggested, he laughed. In a matter of minutes we arrived at the morgue. Spencer and I got out of the car and we made our way to the morgue. We were greeted with a smiley M.E with long platinum blonde hair which was tied into a pony tail and brown nerdy glasses.

"Hi there how may I help you?" She asked in a cheery manner

"Hi I'm Dr. Spencer Reid this is Dr. Mercy Johnson were with the FBI. Were here about the murders." Spencer explained

"Ahh yes follow me!" we made our way to the morgue

"I can't believe it my first day on the job and I'm dealing with a serial killer." The M.E said as took out the bodies, she grabbed her clip board

"COD in every victim was a bullet to the heart, I've extracted the bullet the forensics lab is running ballistics. I also found a piece of paper stuck in the last victim's throat." She gave me the piece of paper it said

Go to hell

"Well the note confirms this is not random!" I say to Spencer, "It's definitely personal!" Spencer suggested
