Chapter 2: The M&M Duo

"Hi welcome to the Oakley Coffee shop how may I help you?" asked a girl she had bright auburn hair, stormy green eyes she was wearing a blue and black waitress outfit

"Umm I'll have a Carmel latte please." I ordered,

"And I will have some black coffee please." Spencer ordered, the waitress smiled

"Sure thing sweet heart." I could tell that Spencer was blushing, I couldn't help but feel a bit envious of course he is blushing is fricking beautiful and she's flirting with him I tell myself. After a few minutes are coffee is ready and we sat down, I took a sip of my latte

"Wow this really good coffee." I said,

Spencer smiled and I notice that he was staring at my tattoo. It was a very simple tattoo it was an infinity sign and at the end of the infinity sign was my sister's name Hope, surrounding her name were doves.

"It's very pretty." He complimented

"I got it after my sister death, when we were in high school promised each other that if one of us die's the other one with get a tattoo of the others name and in the ink we would put the other ones ashes." I explained

"So your sister's name was Hope?" he asked, I nodded

"Mercy and Hope, you know I never met someone named Mercy." I blushed

"It's unique like you." Spencer said awkwardly, and now he too was blushing.

I took his hand "Thanks Reidsters no one has ever told me that." He looked up and smiled He has such an adorable smile I thought.

Reid and I enter the station, we made our way to the conference room. I quickly grab a marker and wrote down the victim's names and I starting drawing web diagram of everything we know about the case.

"What are you doing?" Spencer asked

"I'm writing down everything we know about the case so that we can understand it better." I explained,

"Hey there you two how's it going?" Rossi said as he entered to conference room along with JJ and Hotch, Morgan and Emily arrived shortly after

"Ok guys I took the liberty of writing down what we know about the case. So Reid and I discovered that all the victim's let or unsub in their house which means they know him and that he also doesn't seem threatening. We also know that there was over kill in every victim which means that the unsub is really, really angry at our victims this leads him to kill them. Leaving a lot of forensic evidence behind which shows that he is very disorganized. The only thing we don't know is why he leaves black roses - I circle the word roses- my theory is that if we find out why he is leaving the roses it will lead us straight to the unsub." I explained,

the entire team stared at me with their mouth open, I felt my cheeks burning in embarrassment "Godamnit I think we just found the girl version of Reid." Rossi joked

"Great job Mercy!" Hotch congratulated me. I then heard a phone ringing "Hey baby girl you on speaker!" Morgan said

"Well my lovelies I did some research on our victims and I found out they all went to the same high school and in the same year." Garcia explained

"That's how our unsub knew the victims. Thanks Garcia!" I concluded

"Your welcome my beautiful genius, if you guys need me I will be in my rabbit hole Garcia Out!" she hung up

"Morgan I want you to go the high school and check out the schools record!" Hotch ordered

"Ok Miss. Genius your coming with me I think you spent enough time with pretty boy here." He wrapped his arms around Reid's shoulders and ruffled his hair.

"Yea sure lets go!" I agreed

~Morgan's POV~

Mercy and I made our way to the high school "So how's your first day at BAU going?" I asked

"It's going great actually, I still can't believe that I'm actually part of the team." I laughed

"Well believe it Missy because we been needing another genius in the team, it was getting very stressful for Reid to be the only genius in the team." She laughed, I could see why Reid likes her I thought

"Am I really like him...like Reid?" I looked at her she was blushing She likes him too I thought

"Yea you're like him but your fun to be around." She laughed

"Oh come on Reid is fun to be around." She said

"Yeah when he's not saying random facts that no one understands." I argued

"Well for your information SSA Derek Morgan I find Reid's facts to quite interesting." She argued I raised my eyebrows

"You are the first person to ever say that." I say in astonishment.

In a few minutes we arrived at the school. Mercy and I made our way to the schools principal's office

"Hello I'm SSA Derek Morgan and this is Dr. Mercy Johnson were with the FBI!" I said to the secretary

"FBI is there something wrong?" she asked

"Mam we are here about the recent killings that are taking place in the town, we just found out that all of the people that have been killed all went to this high school. Would you mind if we search through your school records?" Mercy asked

"Why of course anything to stop another killing follow me." the secretary said, we made our way to a small room. The secretary then came out with a bunch of boxes "These are all the schools records, form 10 years ago." Mercy smiled

"Thank you Miss." She said.

~Mercy POV~

"Thank you Miss." I quickly grabbed a box and started going through the school records

"Hey baby girl, I'm at the school with Mercy please tell me that you've got something to make our search easier." Morgan asked

"Well my M and M's unfortunately the school is quite old schooled it just started using a computerized database so there is little I can do." Garcia said

"Thanks anyway Garcia!" I said, and she hung up.

"This is exhausting an hour in and we haven't even gone through half of the boxes here." I complained

"Meanwhile we aren't even remotely close to catching the unsub." Morgan said, I let out a sigh

"So were back to square one?" I asked,

" You know what, I think we should call it a day and head back to the hotel." Morgan suggested, I agreed and we made our way to the hotel.
