Chapter 35: True Colors

~Morgan's POV~

I took a sip out of my cold bear, I let out a sigh my head was racing Should I have called her? I thought but it was too late to have second doubts.

"Agent Morgan." a soft voice said, I turned around and saw Dr. Lily. She was wearing a black dress, her long red hair was cascading down her back and her green eyes were shinning with delight

"You don't have to call me Agent Morgan, you can call me Derek." She smiled and sat down

"Well Derek I am surprised that you called me." she said

"A beautiful woman like you I'm just surprised that I even got a cans." she giggled, I took an other sip form my beer

"Aren't you on duty?" I laughed

"SHH don't tell anyone." I joked

"Don't worry your secret safe with me." she raised her hand

"One martini please." she ordered , the bartender nodded after a few minutes the bartender gave her a martini glass. Before I could reached for my walled Lilly quickly took out hers.

"Thank you but you don't have to pay for me, there is a reason why we work right?" I smiled at her remark She was defiantly something I thought ...but she wasn't Garcia Damnit why do I keep comparing her to Garcia she is not Garcia I ordered myself.

"Can I make an observation Derek Morgan?" she asked

"Yeah sure go ahead."

"You seem distant its as if you have something on your mind." she noted. I said nothing

"You know your not the only one who knows human behavior." she took a sip from her martini, I let out a sigh

"Let me guess you love someone who doesn't love you back.. no its not that you love someone but you feel that they don't deserve you." Lilly guessed

"Your right, I'm in love with someone her name is Penelope and let me tell you she is something. She always finds away to make someone laugh or lighten any situation and with a job like mine I find her quick wit comforting." I explained , I look at Lily for any trace of anger or irritation but all I could see was pure happiness in her big green eyes

"That is so sweet." I smiled

"How did you know? If you don't mind me asking." I asked

"It takes one to notice one." I raised my eyebrows

"I know what your going through... a few years ago met this guy his name was James we dated for a few years and then we got engaged. But I was so wrapped you in my work that I was neglecting our relationship. One thing let to an other and we ended our relationship." she explained

"We still love each other but I think its best for us both, I mean to be honest I wasn't invested in the relationship and to put him through all that again wouldn't be fair on him." she continued. I smiled

"Guess neither of were ready to date yet." Lily admitted, I laughed

"I guess we're not." Lily raised her hand to single the bartender

"Two shots of whiskey please. "Lily ordered, the bartender nodded and poured some whiskey in the shot glasses. She passed me a shot glass

"Didn't you just say that I am not suppose to drink while I am on duty." I joked

"Don't worry this will be our little secret." Lily replied I let out a laugh

"Cheers." Lily said as we clicked our shot glasses together and drank the whiskey.
