Chapter 17: First Date

~Mercy POV~

I stood nervously in front mirror why was I so nervous? I thought, I really wanted to look good for our date. I could still remember when Spencer asked me out.

I cooking some dinner – if I remember correctly I was cooking chicken- , I heard a knock on the door and I went to answer it and it was Spencer. "Hey Reidsters do what do I owe the honor of you gracing me with your presence?" I say jokingly, he laughed

"I just came to check on you ,how are you?" He replied,

"I'm fine Spencer really all I had was a couple of bruises and scratches, I could have come back to work easily. You don't have to worry about me." I reassure him , he smiled

"You know we miss you a lot at work it's getting pretty boring without you." I smiled

"Aww that's so sweet Spencer." I said

"Um Mercy I was um.. I was uh wondering if you would like to go out with me?" he asked, I smiled

"Of course Reidsters!" I say excitedly, I gave him a kiss on the cheek

"I better go because I have a feeling my food is going to get burned." I say. I close the door and I couldn't stop smiling, I grabbed my phone and called Garcia "

"Hello my beloved Miss. Reid how may I be of serves to you?" she asked, I laughed

"Garcia, Spencer just asked me out on a date." I say, I could hear her scream

"Yayy Oh my god this is amazing!! Who would have thought that Dr. Spencer Reid would ever ask a girl out on a date?" Garcia said, I couldn't help but laugh.

Now here I am staring blankly into the mirror trying to calm down. I decided to wear my favorite dress which was a short black backless dress with small diamonds on the shoulders. It hugged my curves perfect I just hope Spencer likes the dress. My heart stopped as I heard the knocking, I made my way to the door and opened it. And there stood Spencer, he ditched his usual work attire for a grey suit, He looked very handsome in the suit, he should defiantly wear it more often.

"Hey Mercy you look...wow you look... I mean you look... gorgeous... you look gorgeous Mercy." He complimented me, I could see him blushing. I smiled

"You ain't so bad yourself handsome!" I say, his face turned bright red, he nervously rubbed the back of his neck as he handed me a single white rose

"He-Here you go I kn-know its no-not much but I-I knew that you like simple things so I thought-" He rambled

"Reid its ok I love it , it was really sweet of you." I say, Reid bit his lip and smiled, he extended his hand

"Shall we go to our date?" Reid says jokingly , I smiled I then took hand

"Why of course!" I reply

We arrive at the restaurant and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was the fanciest restaurant I have ever been too.

"Hello how may I help you?" the waiter asked

"Umm Spencer Reid table for 2." The waiter looked at his list and gave us a nod.

"Ok then let me escort you to your table." The waiter led us to a private table with a great view of the singer. The table was also elaborately decorated with candles and rose petals. Spencer and I sat down, the waiter poured us some red wine and handed us our menus
