Great. Another love song. Nothing was real but love. Especially, with my feelings towards Liam. But I didn’t love him.
So why couldn’t I stop thinking about him?
I changed to the next song again.

Liam’s voice boomed through my headphones. I slowed to a brisk walk and pressed pause.
Suddenly, I crashed into someone. Hard. So hard that I knocked them over and fell on top.
“Oh God. I’m so sorry.” I muttered, looking up. My breath caught in my throught.
Liam.
“Kate.” He breathed.
“Liam…” I whispered, staring at his beautiful face. His long eyelashes. His luscious, wavy hair. His chocolate coloured eyes. That were staring right back at me.
“Sorry it was my fault.” He muttered.
I snapped out of my daze and scrambled off him, blushing furiously. He got up too, and opened his mouth to say something.
“Kate-“
“Uh, I have to go!” I interrupted him, and brushed past.
He grabbed my wrist. It tingled under his touch. “Wait!”
I spun round, avoiding his eyes. “What!?”
He flinched.
I sighed. “Sorry, for snapping.” I wasn’t going to be the bad guy here.
He half-smiled. “It’s okay.”
I looked into his eyes and melted. “Uh, s-so what did you wanna say?”
“I’m sorry.”
I sighed again. “What for, Liam?”
“Not coming after you when you left…”
“Oh, it’s okay. I was interrupting…”
He smiled widely. “Thank you. So are you coming to the party next weekend?”
Oh, I had heard about that one. “I’m not invited…”
“I’m inviting you, silly!” Liam laughed.
“Oh. Okay then.” I smiled at him, but it felt slightly forced.
“Great! It’s going to be in the garden, you know?” When I shook my head, he added. “Where we… uh… you know…?”
I remembered. When we kissed.
“Yeah…” I smiled, bleakly.
“Cool…” He said. Suddenly, an awkward silence settled over us.
“Well…” Liam said, scratching his head.
“I have to go.” I said, quietly.
He nodded and let go of my wrist. As I walked away my wrist was still tingling.
