Heart 11: Sumeria

"Zirrius, I do understand..."

Lumapit sa 'kin si Shin. It's already time for his ritual. He will control our shifting. Hindi ko man gustong pabigatin ang dinadala niya, wala akong pagpipilian. This is a dangerous magic. A black magic.

Tomorrow, we will enter Sumeria. Gumawa sina Kendrick ng kariton na hihilahin ng mga kabayo at paglalagyan ng mga prutas at kahoy na nakuha nila sa kagubatan. We will pretend to be merchants. Unfortunately, Zirrius and Kendrick must hide in the cart because they are wanted criminals. Tiyak na nakakalat ang wanted posters nila sa siyudad ng Sumeria. It's already under Seth's control.

"I got some stones from Sumeria. Hindi pinapapasok ang kahit na sino sa lugar kung wala nito. These stones are for identification," he started.

"How did you get these stones? You shift and entered their registry office?" salubong ang kilay na tanong ko. He puts himself in danger without letting us know.

"I just investigated a little," he answered. Hindi niya pinansin ang inis sa boses ko. Siguro nga wala akong karapatang mainis sa kanya dahil sa ngayon, wala pa akong kayang gawin upang tulungan sila. I feel helpless in this state.

Mabigat akong bumuntong-hininga. Gusto ko siyang pagalitan pero hindi ko maisatinig ang mga gusto kong sabihin. I could feel how the frustration eats me up.

Kinalma ko ang sarili ko. Gusto kong maintindihan niya ang bawat sasabihin ko. "Shin. I want you to be safe. If you will do something that can put you in danger, let us know. You're not alone. You have us to back you up." Mabigat ang tinig ko. I don't want to rely on his ability but he's the most capable right now.

"Sige. Kapag nasa Sumeria na tayo, ipapaalam ko na ang mga gagawin ko," sagot ni Shin. "The ritual will start soon. Tomorrow, we will be in Sumeria. How's your eyesight? Not getting any better?" seryosong tanong niya.

Umiling ako. "Still not better," I answered. I can't figure what faces he makes. Maybe he's disappointed like I am feeling. Maybe he's a little sad too.

"Siguro may makikita tayong manggagamot sa Sumeria. Let's not lose hope," sambit niya. Matipid akong ngumiti at marahang tumango. "The magic circle is already done. Let's now head there." Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at inalalayan sa paglalakad. I could clearly see the magic circle he made in the midst of darkness.

It's not just the magic circle but I can see the energies tracing their forms too. I hope my sight gets even better when we reach Sumeria. Damon, Zirrius and I will undergo the ritual. Ayen will assist Shin. Sa loob ng malaking magic circle, may apat na hugis bilog at bituin kung saan kami tatayo. These small circles and stars are positioned at the North, South, East and West sides of the magic circle.

I stood in the South. Shin was in the North. Zirrius in the East and Damon in the West. I can figure our their locations through their energies. Inside the magic circle, I could see the lines linking us together to the middle where a pentagon is located. Inside the pentagon, is a pentagram.
