There is always some truth,
Behind "just kidding".
A hint of sparkle in their eyes,
Shows you they're hiding something.
There is little knowledge,
Behind "I don't know".
Too lazy to explain,
So they'd rather just say no.
There is little emotion,
Behind every "I don't care".
You can still see that they're hurt,
That life's not treating them fair.
There is little pain,
Behind every "I'm ok".
They won't tell you what's wrong,
They just won't say.
