I Heard

You may not know,
What I did,
But I heard your conversation,
Every little bit.

I was right there,
Every sentence was heard,
Every last line,
Every last word.

You sat on the bench outside,
And I was at the bay window.
Then you blurted out random words,
Gossip you didn't want me to know.

You whispered into the phone,
Said horrible things about me,
But you didn't know that I was there,
So you just spoke confidently.

Then I came and confronted you,
Told you that you were being mean,
I know, I heard things I shouldn't have heard,
Seen things I shouldn't have seen.

But you said what you shouldn't have said,
Even when you knew it was wrong,
You spoke to the person on the other end,
Your conversation went on and on.

I know what you think of me,
I know every single word,
Trust me, I know everything,
Trust me, I heard.

Whether you knew I was there or not, you would've said it anyway....... So what is your sorry supposed to mean to me now? After all you've done, after all this time, after so many memories, Why?..........
