I didn't talk to Alan at all yesterday. Mrs. Warren let Lindsay and I skip the rest of the day so we went to my house and told Mischa what happened. I didn't really want to go to school or rehearsals at all this week. I just wanted to stay home and sulk. But, She made me go today.

In English class, We had time to work on our projects. I raised my hand.

"Kinley?" Mrs. Warren says.

"Alan isn't here, What am I supposed to do?" I ask. The door to the classroom opens and Alan walks through with his guitar around him.

"Mrs. Warren, I wrote a song for a special person, and I need her to hear it right now" He says. I couldn't move. What was he doing. Jenna looked at me with a confused look. She didn't know what was happening. Alan started strumming on his guitar.

"She don't laugh at everything
But when she does
The planets swing around her
She don't step on sidewalk seams
Teenage boyfriends all still dream about her

She don't need the glitter of the Vegas lights
She could blow a kiss
And leave you spinning like a Tilt-A-Whirl

I met a girl
She made me smile
She made me wait
She crossed the street
She crossed my heart
She fixed her dress
She bit her lip
She lit me up

I met a girl
With crazy shoes
And baby blues
The way she moves
Is changing my whole world
I met a girl". Knowing that he was singing about me made my eyes fill with tears and my heart feel with joy.

"The sunshine waits for her to wake up
She's a ponytail, no makeup, saddle day
Cause she don't need umbrellas
And a summer rain
She could catch the eye
Of a hurricane in blue jean pearls

I met a girl
She made me smile
She made me wait
She crossed the street
She crossed my heart
She fixed her dress
She bit her lip
She lit me up

I met a girl
With crazy shoes
And baby blues
The way she moves
Is changing my whole world". The entire classroom smiled as Alan sang, Even Jenna. He finished the song.

"She turned around and it felt like
The world turned upside down
And the only thing that I could say was hey
And I'm so glad she didn't walk away

She dances like nobody sees her
Can't believe I get to be here in her world

I met a girl
She made me smile
She made me wait
She crossed the street
She crossed my heart
She fixed her dress
She bit her lip
She lit me up

I met a girl
With crazy shoes
And baby blues
The way she moves
Is changing my whole world
I met a girl
I met a girl". When he finished the song everyone clapped and he took his guitar off and handed it to Mrs. Warren.

"Babe, I was so stupid and I didn't mean a word that I said. I love you" He says. I was never one to get very emotional, but tears streamed down my cheeks. Jenna leaned over to me.

"I wonder who-". I cut her off by jolting out of the chair.

"I love you too" I say. I run and leap into his arms. The classroom claps.

"I'm so glad I met you" He whispers.

"Me too" I say. As the clapping dies down and he puts me back on the ground, I turn around and see Jenna looking at us with wide eyes.
