Chapter 29: Love Song

Start from the beginning

Your P.O.V

I smiled at him.

He only sighed and inched closer to me.

"This is what we need your help with." Dazai pointed out, pointing to the hand on my waist covered in blood.

Lalisa stared, her mouth agape at the blood amount of blood.

"Move your hands." Lalisa demanded, her eyes moving over my waist.

"If I move my hands, I'm afraid my stomach will spill out." I argued weakly.

"Drop your hands!" Lalisa repeated sternly.

I shook my head and didn't bother to wipe the forming tears in my eyes.

"No," I whispered.

"Y/N, she's trying to help" Dazai whispered softly, his hand gently resting on my shoulder.

"I just want it to be better!" I whined, shutting my eyes.

"Y/N, if your guts fall out it's all his fault." Lalisa mumbled, pointing to Dazai as her eyes looked restlessly around the room.

I smiled gently and opened my eyes slowly. I took my hands away and Lalisa let out a sigh of relief.

"Finally." Lalisa mumbled, looking around.

"I need something to cover it." Lalisa said.

When no one answered, she yelled, "What can I use to cover it?"

I bit my lip and looked around.

Lalisa turned to Dazai and gave him an expectant look.

"Dazai! You dumbass! She's just lying here bleeding out and you have bandages wrapped around your entire body? How dense are you?" Lalisa argued, taking his hand and pulling a bit of the bandages off.

"Woah, woah." He protested, his hand flying up to hold the bandages in place.

"Dazai." I whispered.

He glanced over at me and bit his lip.

"Only this arm." He mumbled, pulling up his sleeve and unwrapping the bandages.

His arm was long and thin, pale but toned.

I pulled my lips into a thin line when Lalisa grabbed my arm to pull me up.

I cried out in pain and I saw Dazai's expression drastically change.

"Be gentle!" He said worriedly, pulling his sleeve down.

"I'm fixing her!" Lalisa snapped, grabbing the crinkled bandages from Dazai's hand.

"Stay still." She muttered. I nodded and continued to quietly sob.

Lalisa wrapped the last part of the bandage around my waist tightly and tucked it into my waistband.

"There." Lalisa sighed out, wiping her hands together.

Dazai was staring at my waistline in amazement.

"I'm so, sorry. I didn't realize the bandage, I've just had it on so long.. and I didn't think about it, and oh my god—" Dazai rambled.

My expression softened and I gave him a reassuring smile.

"Thank you." I said to Lalisa.

She nodded and adjusted the bandage.

"It won't last long, so, go now. But without me. That was the deal."

Flashback

"I said I need something in return!" Lalisa protested.

"Like what? For what could I provide for you out of my tainted hands?!" Dazai called sarcastically.

"You tick me off, dumbass!" Lalisa yelled.

"That's your problem!"

"I told you I need something in return." Lalisa said quietly.

Dazai sighed out, "Like what?"

"I'll help you, but you need to let me go after."

Flashback End

"What?! You said you'd let her go?!" I.

"It was the only way." He sighed quietly.

I rubbed my waist and stood up straight.

"Let's just go now, we can talk about his later, yeah?" I said.

"Great! I'll just catch you guys another time." Lalisa interrupted, standing up quickly and rubbing her wrists.

"It was nice to meet you and all, and no hard feelings, but I hope I never see you again." Lalisa said cheerily, walking backwards.

She clasped her hands together and smiled fairly at us.

"Bye!" She called, turning around and running towards the door.

"Wait, Lalisa they might not be—"

Her figure stopped in front of the door.

I gasped in surprise.

Her body collapsed at the door and blood sailed the floor around her.

I limped slowly over to her, falling beside her.

"I said I hope I'd never see you again. But I didn't mean it like this." Lalisa laughed dryly.
