In the swirling darkness that followed, everything held back in my mind took the opportunity to assault me, the images spun, disjointed, as my heart joined in on the attack.

Then out of the darkness a large hand hit me hard across the face.

I gasped a silent scream and with my heart pounding, found I was in my room in the dark.

A small orange orb of light was near me and I was then disorientated, it was like being in two places at once.

A delicate hand pushed me back to the bedding as my eyes threw a thousand questions into the dark.

"Yes Lady Tamara, I have returned, you are safe, be still."

"Who?"

"Sshh." A finger touched my lips.

A small folded piece of parchment passed in front of my face.

"I will hide this in your clothing, when you are healed you will find a way to reach me using this."

So many questions.

"I have re-done your dressing, you will heal quickly now. Gather your strength, learn and practice, war is coming again."

So many more questions.

"Rest well Lady Tamara, now, Sleep"

Her face in mine had that same power, that familiar power, his power, but as I felt myself slipping back to darkness, the memory fell from my hold.
