Chapter 8

The bluenette stood there,still cornered,looking shocked by what the red head in front of her said.

"W-what?"she asked again,shakily

"I said strip,Nagisa.."His voice was low and husky

"N-no!"She screamed as she pushed him away

She was about to run off when a firm grip stopped her on her tracks.He was squeezing her arm.It hurt.She tried not to squirm in pain

"Let go!"She says as she pulled her hand away as fast as she could

"Why?What are you hiding from me,Nagisa?"He said concernly as he furrowed his eyebrows

"S-stay away!"She trembled as Karma got closer to her

"Tell me..."

"No!You'll hate me if I told you!You'll abandon me,You'll leave me alone!Just like everyone!Everyone left me all alone!"She shouted as a batch of tears fell from her pale cheeks

Karma kept quiet,he didn't want to push her any further,but he wanted to know whats wrong.He cares.A lot.If only Nagisa could see it.She was scared that Karma would leave her,like everyone did.Her friends,Her relatives,Her loved ones.And possibly her mother too.She couldn't bear the thought of losing her last friend,Karma.

"Nagisa,if you don't strip,I'll do it for you."He said as he reaches out to her

Her eyes widened and she finally gave in,"fine!I'll do it....just...don't hate me..please.."

She wiped her tears away.She was fortunate enough to have bandaged her chest,or else she would have been exposed.She slowly took of her top.Karma was staring at her intensely.The cold air touched her skin and she quivered.Her wounds weren't fully healed yet and they still hurt

Karma's eyes widened at the sight of her wounded body.They were full of bruises,fresh and old ones,Cuts and scars.His bangs covered his eyes as he looked down.

"Who..."he quietly said,"Who did this to you?!"He said angrily

Nagisa kept quiet.Her eyes empty filled with no emotions.Her dead looking eyes stared into Karma's mercury gold ones.

"Why?Why didn't you tell me,Nagisa?!"He was on the verge of crying

"I'm sorry..."she said,"I'm sorry..."

"Who did this to you,Nagisa?!"He screamed in anger as he held her shoulders

He wanted to kill the person who hurt her.The person who broke her.Who is the person?Is the person close?

Thoughts of anyone Karma could think of circled around his head as he tried to think of someone

"Was it your father?"He finally spoke

Her shoulders tensed when he said that but she quickly recovered.Karma caught on and was now boiling with anger

"It's him,right?!"He said as he lets go of her

She lightly nodded as an answer.She was afraid now.

"Nagisa....what's that?"Mercury gold eyes travelled at a certain place.Her wrists.

They were full of cuts and scars.There were fresh ones too.They weren't just anywhere,they were placed at that certain area.Just there.It was like someone purposely cut her wrists.

"Nagisa...did you?"his voice became softer

A batch of new tears fell from her cheeks when he said that.She began shaking as she cried.

"I'm so sorry..."she whispered as she tried to wipe away her tears that were endlessly falling from her eyes to the ground

Karma reached his hand out and caressed her cheeks.He cupped her pale face and brushed aside some of her blue hair from her face.

He pulled her into a hug.Nagisa was shocked.She wasn't expecting this to happen.

"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you..."he whispered as he pulled her closer to his body

His body was warm.Nagisa liked-no,Loved the warmth.She wanted to hold on to him forever if she could.

"It wasn't your fault.."she sniffed on his black colored v-neck shirt

I will never leave you,Nagisa.

He was still confused at why he cared for her a lot.He never cared for anyone before.He only cared about himself,not others.But this was different.He wanted to be there for Nagisa,He wanted to help her.Help her get out of this nightmare.Help her escape from the darkness.
