The Missing Pieces(A Naruto Reader Insert)

Long Gone.

Once the officer wrote everything down, he looked up at the fathers as he placed down the pencil on the desk. His eyes softened, knowing that it wasn't easy for them but he had a job to do and as much as he wanted to help them, he couldn't. "Thank you for all the information, I'm going to ask you to go home and stay put. Maybe she'll return, however, once we can take your case, we'll let you know."

It wasn't a response they wanted, no! How could they not do anything?! [F/N] rose to his feet and dashed to the exit. The woman thanked the officer as she followed her husband. "Wait!"

"We can't just stand here and do nothing!" The man growled, his hand grasping his hair and yanking at it. "I'll search all night if necessary."

With that he began his search, the mother as much as she wanted, she knew that she had to go home in case [Name] returned. It would be torturous to wait there, but there was no other choice. It was an eternity, it really was, but eventually the light of a new day began to peek inside the window. Her eyes felt so dry from all the crying and the lack of sleep. Her heart fluttered as she heard the door being opened, but beating heart shattered into pieces when he noticed the defeated form of the male. She didn't need  for him to voice it, just by him showing alone said it all. Once again, she broke into wailing, hoping that it was only a nightmare and that soon she would hear you exiting your room. At the end, as much as she fought it, sleep took possession of her mind and she drifted to sleep. The man had walked straight to his room, crying, feeling useless. With a curse, his body screamed for rest, and eventually and slowly, he too drifted off to sleep.

Eventually, two days later, the case was passed to the Hokage. The Military Police would have taken care of it, but eventually the Hokage was notified about this certain case. A firm frown rested on the old man, as he read through the report.

Missing Case Report
Name of Person Missing: [Name] [Last Name]
Relatives of Missing Person: [Father's Name] and [Mother's Name] [Last Name].
Relationship: Parents
Suspects: Aki Amano and his Son Goro Amano

Even Detail:
[Name] [Last Name] was requested to accompany Goro Amano, the location is unknown. That have been taken place early in the morning but by the end of the day, there were no signs of either of them. As soon as the parents returned home, they waited for their daughter to return, but there was no sight of her. Her father [F/N], returned at Aki Amano's residence, however, no one was home by that time.

Actions Taken:
Due to certain circumstances, action to solve the case was not taken. However, the next day, a team was dispatched to interrogate Aki Amano, however his residence was inhabited, all furniture was in place, but the owner seemed to have fled. All personal belongings were gone. Later that day, the residency was searched, the team was dispatched to search every corner of the village, however, her body was not found. However, Genma Shiranui witnessed a couple close to the lake located at the Inuza Clan. From his description, the couple fits that of Goro Amano and [Name] [Last Name].

Summary:
[Name] [Last Name] was abducted by Goro Amano, with the help of his father Aki Amano. There is evidence that suggest that she wasn't killed.

As his eyes finished reading the report, he remained looking at it. He could not conclude that Orochimaru had anything to do with it, but from what happened at the second stage of the Chunnin Exams, it was hard to believe that he indeed had nothing to do with [Name]'s disappearance. There was a knock on the heavy wooden door, knowing him out of his pensive state. "Come in."

A male with brown shoulder length hair, and brown eyes. There a sonbon in his mouth. "You wanted to speak to me sir?"

"Yes, tell me about that couple to you spotted by the lake a few days ago"

"There's not much to it, they were seating by the lake sir, they seemed to be rather close so I assumed they were a couple. After that, we did notice some activity, but since the Chunnin Exams were taking place, we were focused of any possible danger coming to the village." He reported, a lot happened that day that the sight of the couple didn't seem suspicious.

The Hokage took a deep breath. "The girl's name is [Name] [Last Name], she was abducted that very same day. However, once her disappearance was reported, actions weren't taken because of Orochimaru's attack." A deep frown appeared on his face, adding even more wrinkles to his face. "Even if we sent a search team, the possibilities of finding her in close to zero. Inform her parents of the status of her case, tell them that it is close." With a wave of his hand, he dismissed the Shinobi.

It was cold, that he knew, but the safety of the village came first. If he does send a search team, it will not do any good to anybody. Now, he needs every single Shinobi/Kunoichi at his disposal just in case Orochimaru decided to attack. The Chunnin Exams are far from being over, and until then he needs to focus on tightening the security around. With that in thought, and with sadness he placed the report away. It wouldn't be easy for the parents, but the safety of the village takes priority.
