{Charlotte's point of view}

"CHARLOTTE OH MY GOD CHARLOTTE!" Shawn shouts running down the stairs into the kitchen, where I was making toast.
"What happened?!" I say, surprised.
"You know that my album is being released on the 23rd?"
"I do know that Shawn." I smile.
"IM DEBUTING IT AT MADISON SQUARE GARDENS!"
"ARE YOU SERIOUS!?"
"Yep! On the 10th, next week! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT CHARLOTTE!"
"SHAWN THIS IS YOUR DREAM, IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU".
Shawn comes over and kisses me, before he then gets Laila and spins her around.

"Andrew said that tickets are going to be put on sale later today..."
"Have you told your family?"
"I want to go over there in a bit to tell them in person."
"I can't wait! I should ask my Mum to come over and look after Laila for a few days whilst I come to the show with you."
"Wait, you're gonna come?!"
"I wouldn't miss it for the world Shawn!"
"I love you so much." Shawn says hugging me.

{Shawn's point of view}

"Shawn I'll meet you at your parents later, I'm just going to go out to the park with Laila, Poppy and Ezra."
"I hope you both have a lovely time." I smile.
"But they're gonna be so happy for you Shawn."
"I literally telling them over 5 years ago that playing at Madison square gardens was my dream. It doesn't feel real."
"Well we need to get going but Shawn, I'm so proud you."
"That means so much, see you later. Love you both."

Charlotte and Laila go out the front door and I sit down by the table.

Madison Sqaure Garden

I don't know how to feel.
I'm so excited but petrified. I've played large venues before but this is so much different.

My crisis was put on pause by the vibrating noise of my phone.
It was a text off Brian saying,
"Hey we need to talk, can I come over to yours in 10?"
"Sure that's fine are you ok?" I sent back, wondering what he wanted to say.
"I'm fine, just need to talk."
"See you in a bit."

And nonetheless in about 10 minutes Brian knocked on the door.

"Hey Brian what's up?" I ask straight away.
"Um... hey Shawn."
"Do you want something to drink? I have some beer?"
"No, no I better not."
"Oh okay." I say.
"So how have you been Shawn?"
"Brian why are you here?"
"Can't a guy go and see his best friend?"
"Yeah, but the message you sent me-"

"I got someone pregnant". He blurts out.
"Brian! What the? Who?!"
"Well, that's the thing..."
"Who Brian?" I ask, raising my eyebrow.

"Lauren".
"LAUREN". I say shocked. "As in my ex girlfriend Lauren?!"
"Yes Lauren, but it wasn't like one time. We're seeing each other."
"And you didn't think to mention you were seeing her? And I quote to your 'best friend'". I say, annoyed.
"I wanted to tell you! It's just Lauren, you know what her parents are like, she didn't want anyone to know because we didn't think it was going to go anywhere."
"I mean that makes sense, but I would've kept it a secret."
"I know and I'm sorry."
"So she's pregnant?"
"About 3 months."
"What are you going to do?" I ask, praying that he didn't react like I did.
"Well we told her parents about the baby and our relationship, and they seemed happy."
"So you're gonna stay with her?"
"Of course! Shawn.... I love her."
"I'm proud of you Brian. You're gonna be a Dad!"
"I'm happy, just scared."
"Brian I was petrified and I made all the wrong choices. I let Charlotte down so much and I know you're not gonna do that. Trust me, your love for your baby will be the best thing in your life."
"Who would've thought of us being dads?" Brian laughed.
"I know right."
"I just really needed to tell you."
"I'm glad you did." I say.

"Anyways, how's Laila?"
"She's getting so big, almost 4 months old."
"That's gone so fast."
"You're telling me!"
"So how's your album coming along? Have you got a name for it yet?" Brian asks.
"I've decided to call it Illuminate. Because I think some of the songs can help people see light during their dark times. Well that's the aspect."
"It's sounds great!"
"Oh and you know Madison Square Gardens?"
"Funnily enough I've heard of that iconic place."
"I'm playing there next week." I try to say casually.
"WHAT THE FUCK!"
"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!"
"SHAWN THIS IS HUGE!"
"I'm so nervous." I say, resuming my crisis.
"Why? You've played large crowds before? I mean I know it's different, but you have to embrace it."
"I know, it's just, I have this plan, that I want to do at the end of the show."
"What is it?" Brian asks.

"It's to do with Charlotte."
