January 7th, 2011
dear Arix,
today you left with your parents for boston, massachusetts.
you'll be gone a week.
everyone was sad today, you really make an impact on us all. on me, the most, but maybe not for the good. when Mrs. Rogers was trying to get us to pay attention, this girl broke into tears and ran from the room. why are people acting so strongly towards you leaving for just a week? we have all gone on vacation.
maybe it's because you are so important to us. even the teachers were gloomy.
i just took it as an opportunity to pretend to not care.
but i did.
and i do.
i heard some kids talking about how you might not come back. why wouldn't you? you love it here in england, you said so yourself. so why would you leave us?
why would you leave me?
i know why. you wouldn't think about it twice because you have before. and i forgave you over and over.
it won't happen again, Arix.
-Paige
