Alan's POV

Being woken up in the middle of the night was the worst thing on the planet. I couldn't believe this was happening to me right now.

"Alan, come on." Austin whispered.

"What do you want?" I mumbled pressing my face further into my pillow.

"Date night."

"It's like two in the morning."

"And?"

"I'm tired."

He sighed and started pressing kisses to my shoulder, "Please baby?"

I giggled, "Okay, okay."

"You're so hot when you're sleeping," he said.

"Were you watching me or something?"

"Just for a little bit."

"That's kinda weird." I said looking up at him.

"I know, that's why I stopped."

I smiled and gave him a kiss. "What should I wear?"

"Whatever makes you look cutest."

"Is it cold outside?"

"No, it's not."

"What's your definition of not cold?"

"Like, it's warm."

"I'm just wearing sweats and a shirt. I'll handle looking like a mess for an hour. Even if it's a date and I should look cute." I said sitting up.

"Alright, you'll still look good if I'm being honest."

"You're only saying that because you're my boyfriend."

"Not true."

"Totally true."

"Not at all," he sang and gave me a kiss.

I rolled my eyes and grabbed my clothes to put on.

"Why are we doing this at 2am?" I asked.

"Because it's the only time we ever get together."

"Now that's not true."

"I mean without someone interrupting us."

"I guess that's true. Now let's go before Mama wakes up at six."

"Exactly. Come on."

I took his hand and we snuck downstairs, leaving the house.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"You'll see."

"So a surprise?"

"Yep."

I groaned. "I hate surprises."

"Well you are gonna love this one." He said taking my hand as he grabbed something from his car.

"A blanket?"

"Yes. A blanket."

"Why do you have a blanket?"

"Do you not know what surprise means?"

"Right, sorry." I said with a sigh.

"How about we get some food?"

"I'm starved."

"Good."

He smiled and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.

We stopped at a McDonald's before Austin brought us to a empty field. He laid the blanket out and sat on it, patting the spot beside him.
